Heya Everyone!!
I'm Sharmila 😊.... I'm new to the Tere Liye forum... But I huge huge of fan of TaAnu... I'm totally in love wid the TaAnu jodi...😳
And I know.. the showz in a li'l bit of turmoil.. with Anurag rejecting Taani.. n wid the entry of Nupur.. 😭
So decided to write an SS(Short story).. wid the Tere Liye characters in it...
The roles are changed,... and even the situations are not related.. its jus a fun OS.. 😉

Anurag Ganguly
An intelligent, humorous,sweet but a shy young man.. who was studying in the Delhi University.
Taani Banerjee ( I know they are a few issues wid Taani's surname Tongue.. well I decided to stick to this!)
A beautiful young lass, who was independent, mature and was doing her majors in literature in the Institute of Languages Delhi.
Robindo (Robi)
Anurag's best friend n room mate ... He was a flirty,charming person.. but was good at heart and a true friend of Anurag!
Mauli
She was Taani's close friend and confidant. A complete contemporary girl..
Subodh ( a brief part)
Well these are the characters... Happy reading!! Pardon the errors if any.
P.S-The ones in blue are Anurag's thoughts and in pink are Taani's.
" Hey Anurag! ,There are some really great looking chicks at the mixer party this year.. You should come along this time buddy!" said an excited Robi.. standing next to the window in their room.. which overlooked the garden... where the party was going on..
"I'm studying Robi" said an indifferent Anurag , not even looking up from his books.
"On a saturday night with around more than a hundrend beauties from colleges all over Delhi in the campus??"
"I've got mid terms next week"
"So does everybody. That's the reason you should come.. so that you can de-stress yourself a li'l bit"
Finally Anurag Ganguly looked up from his books...
"Robi, you are pathetic.. all you do the whole day is sit n drool at girls!! " scolded Anurag in a stern voice.
Robi eyed his room mate.. and smirked!
" Listen Onu! .."
"No, you listen ... I know myself. I'm shy." said Anurag
" And I lack your charming personality" he added winking at Robi.
Before Robindo could react.. he buried himself in his books.
"Mr. ganguly" started Robi wid an irritated tone.
" Plz go to the party and leave me alone now"pleaded Anurag.
But whatever he did could not convince Robi that night and he had to finally give in.
" I feel like a court jester in this attire Robi" complained Anurag as they got out of their room dressed for the party.
"How can u say that? Its the latest fashion.. and girls go ga-ga when they see a boy in it" replied Robi
"Then you should've worn it"retorted Anurag
" Now lets go.. and take off that sullen look from your face n smile"
It was completely dark and the deafening music from the latest b'town movies was playing in the background. The dance floor was full of couples swaying to the music.
"Robi, i feel like a complete idiot"
"Its just nerves Onu. You look like a stud.. so don worry"
Anurag shot a pained glance at Robi .
"There is my girl, you are alone from here Onu. Have fun!" whispered Robi.. and disappeared into the darkness...
Anurag turned to reach out for Robi.......
And then Anurag spotted her.
She was a tall slender girl, with long black hair and beautiful brown eyes.
Man!..I wish i had the guts thought Anurag.
But two other DUites were already waiting upon her.
No chance at all now thought Anurag.And turned to go.
" Anurag Ganguly" someone called out.
It was one of the duo standing near the girl. Anurag recognized him instantly.
He was Subodh. The college sweetheart and the captain of the basketball team. He was a bully.
And our quiet Anurag hated to talk to him.. not that he was scared or something, but he really couldn't stand that show-off.
"He is a nerd of number 1 order "Subodh said to the girl beside him.
She by now sensed that Subodh was an guy who looked down upon all the others.
"What's with the jacket Ganguly?" asked Subodh with a smirk
"Well I figured out , I'd .... "
"Aw! Shut Up loser" said the basketball captain
" That line would suit you better I guess" replied Anurag in a curt tone.
The girl laughed out at this line...
Her laughter sounds so sweet n pleasant.
Gosh!. what wouldn't I do to hear it again and again thought Anurag.. lost in the brown innocent eyes of the girl.
"Ganguly!.. if u weren't such a favourite of the professors around here.. you would've been mince meat" said the enraged Subodh.
"Whatever! .. I take leave now" muttered Anurag.
He gave a slight nod n smiled at the girl.. who smiled back. And he walked out of the garden....
He sped into the campus and as soon as he reached a deserted corner .. he removed his jacket in anger.... He heard a muffled
"Excuse me"
He peered out to see.. that it was the girl. "Yes" said Onu, too surprised to be nervous. He wore his jacket back.
"Why did you leave the party?" she asked in an innocent way.
"Err.. I don't function well in mobs"replied Onu with a smile.
"Would you like to walk wid me?" asked Anurag before he could get nervous again.
"Good Idea!" .."its really hot in here" she said. They walked out of the campus.

They introduced themselves.
"I'm Anurag Ganguly!... "
"Taani-- Taani Banerjee"
"Thats a beautiful name..."replied Anurag
Taani smiled shyly and said... "Your college is beautiful" "Its like a completely different world"
"Which reminds me"Anurag said, "are you busy next weekend?"
"Yes!" Taani said.
He was devastated.
"Oh!!" he said .May be she already has a boyfriend he thought.
"I mean with mids. I've got to study a lot. How about the week after?"
"Err... How would it be if I came up to your college and we studied together?" asked Anurag not wanting to let the opportunity go.
"I mean we'll really study, I'm having mids too. So.... "he added.
"Hmm.. okay!"she replied.
"Great" .His heart was already leaping!
After walking for another half an hour and talking about their likes and dislikes.
"I should be leaving now. Its 10:00." Said Taani.
"I'd walk you to the bus stop "offered Anurag.
He just didn't want the walk to end... He had never felt this way before.. and it was all new to him.
"I'll look forward to the next weekend "she said in her calm n crystal clear voice.
"Me too. but could I call you in the middle of the week?" asked Anurag
"Yeah sure... Do ... " she spotted the bus to her place turning around the
corner..
And Anurag was still fumbling for his mobile...
She quickly snatched the pen in his pocket... Took his hand .. and wrote her number on his palm .
"Call me on this" she said. And sprinted to the bus.. which was now in the stop.
Her touch left tingling sensations on his hand.. and before he realized she was in da bus...
Taani sat by a window and waved.
God!.. She looks so beautiful even through this dirty window pane thought Anurag
He stood transfixed there as the bus moved away.. and she waved until she lost sight of him.
A li'l while later he slowly walked back to his room, where Robi sat waiting for him.
"Where the hell were you?" Robi asked.
"Hm.. lets jus say the jacket idea of urs worked" said anurag and smiled at his dumbstruck friend.
Later in the night....
Anurag-
I've never longed for anybody as much I long for her now. I've just met her for a couple of hours and I feel so much for her already. I wonder what she thinks about me.... I really hope she doesn't dislike me....
Taani-
Such a well bred gentleman he was!. Jus like the person I always wanted in my life. But why did I talk so less... I'm usually not this nervous.. I hope I haven't made a fool of myself. He is so witty n charming. I just wish he would call soon.. I'm aching to listen to his voice again.
