To Love Again - Part 20

Geet's arrival to the Khurana Mansion was a remarkable event. The whole Mansion was decorated with flowers and Daadi's friends were present to see her daughter-in-law coming back home safe. They gave their blessings to both her and Maan and their child. It became their child because he has accpeted it and is ready to take all the responsibilities of it with her. Geet was excited. She felt so happy seeing how much Maan and Daadi loves her and the baby. Her eyes glittered with silver teardrops that were about to touch her cheeks with happiness.

Maan took Geet upstairs appologising to the guests saying that she needed to rest. He placed her gently on the bed and adjusted the blanket on her to keep her warm. He then turned to leave, she got hold onto his wrist. He looked at her, to know if she wanted anything. Her eyes pleaded him to sit beside her. She wanted him to be near her to feel secure. She was afraid to be alone. He sat on the bed and touched her forehead gently. She closed her eyes to feel the warmth of his hands. It soothed her so much that she wanted to forget what she went through the previous day. She didn't remember the whole incident but remembered little bit of the frightening accident. She remembered him telling her that she always gets her self into trouble, in her Hoshiyarpur Express style and he was just right. 'Geet, you need anything?' he asked her as she opened her eyes. She shook her head to say no. 'Geet, you need to rest' He stood to leave. 'Maan' She called him softly. He wanted her to call him all the time. He was so happy to hear her calling his name. He smiled at her and frowned. 'Maan, just be here with me, I don't want to be alone' Finally she asked him to stay. He sat on the bed and touched her belly. It was the same as before. She smiled upon seeing his expression and told 'not that soon, Maan. you need to have some patience' He lowered his gaze as he decided to learn more about pregnancy and babies.

Daadi's voice abondoned his thoughts 'Maan, there are some more people to see Geet'. Maan went to see some of the office staffs were there to see Geet. He told them she could not come down to them, but if they want they can see her in the room. Saasha, Tasha, Adi and Pinky
followed Maan to his room. Tasha became speechless when she saw MK's room. Sasha noticed the two white roses on the table. She remembered how much Maan hated flowers, but how it changed and he gifted flowers to Geet. Thinking about Maan being so much in love with Geet made her furious. She slowly gazed into everything in the room and finally caught Maan who was holding Geet on the bed. She wanted to kick off Geet and sit there instead of her. Adi and Pinky asked about the whole incident and shared their heart felt sympathies. Sasha thought that she could have stayed in the office rather than coming there to tear away her heart.

Soon after the office staff's leave, Maan told Daadi about the arrangements he made for Geet. He had contacted a dietician to make a proper diet for Geet. He needed to keep an eye on everything personally and requested Daadi to be more strict with Geet's eating habits. Though Daadi agreed, he knew that Daadi would be easily brain washed by Geet with her mahan words. He smiled on thinking of her lectures even in small issues. Daadi made sure that she heard everything correct, before trying to attened. She felt glad by seeing how responsible and caring her grandson had become.

Maan didn't spend much time out, but asked to make a soup for her, which he wanted to feed her by himself. Chandu brought the tray upstairs and handed it over to Maan. He drew the curtains aside so that they could feel the gentle breezes. He waited near the window looking at the garden below. Various types of flowers had blossomed in the garden completing it's beauty. His gaze stuck on the white roses dancing freely along with the wind. White roses, played a vital role in their life, he still feels that there is a need for white roses. He is gifting her a white rose per day from the garden to make her feel how precious she is, to him.

He moved away when he heard the sound of her cough. Within split seconds, he was holding her just beside him. He didn't want to let her go. He couldn't bear to accept even a simple thing to happen to her. 'Geet, are you alright?' she felt the tense and concern in his words. She answered him smiling 'I'm fine, but a little hungry now'. She made a kiddy face to show how much she was craving for food. He made her to sit on the bed and to lean against him so that he could reach his hands to her mouth to feed her. She finished the soup in a while without thinking of him. 'Babaji, what am I going to do now? I had all the soup and don't know whether he had anything or not' She whispered to herself. Maan had a grin on his face thinking that she would never stop her self talk.

Later in the afternoon Maan had a look at all the documents given by doctor Sujit. He checked each and every detail of the reports and discovered a CD labeled as the 'first scan'. He wondered about it but didn't get any idea of it. He inserted it into his laptop and saw the tiny being moving within her abdomen. His mouth opened wide when he saw it. His eyes filled with joy and happiness upon seeing the tiny life, dancing freely in accordance to her heart beats. He felt so happy that he left the tears to fall from his eyes as it was the first time he saw it.

there is nothing more romantic than a man falling in love with his unborn child .. being present at tis birth and holding it for the first time!!
