The beautiful and innocent Gehna aka Neha Marda talks about her likes and dislikes and why she is in favor of child marriage?

Define your self in one word: Cute

Love means: Everything to me..

Hate means: It?s nothing for me

Lust is: Part of human mind

You feel comfortable when: I am with my friends

One thing you want to change about yourself is: My height (grins)

Any Secret Desire: To become a wonderful housewife

Perfect date will be like: I would like to be in isolated place with my love. With candles all around, he should cook a delicious food for me and then we should watch a movie together and chat the whole night.

On a date you would like to go with: Imran Khan

Dream Role: The one I?m playing in Balika Vadhu of Gehna

Your Favorite Dish: I like to eat Punjabi food

Love or Arranged marriage, what do you believe in: Both, and I feel all elders should be open to both.

Your thoughts on Child Marriage: I feel its very helpful but with conditions applied. Saas should keep her bahu as daughter and the duo should be friends first, so that as time flies both will accept each other. Their friendship will later grow into love which is good

Who care if she believes in it or not, it is ILLEGAL. Being a celebrity, she should not say such things are ok

Woah... being in the show probably made her think like that. It seems like BV glamorized the way child marriages seem. I doubt that this show prevented ANYONE from getting their children married off.

I wonder if she even said that.

Thanks for sharing!

me too...actually, as someone said here, BV has actually glamorized such child marriages....

tell me...which daughter-in-law does not have to adjust to the new scenario after marriage.....so whatever the show has shown till date, of Anandi suffering at the hands of Dadisa would be taken as normal, routine adjustment problems by the parents or society who have such conservative backgrounds that the main purpose/aim of a girl's life should be finding a groom and settling in matrimony.so, the sooner the better.....the way Sugna and Anandi had been shown to be craving and delivering dialogues like "Maen Saasre kab Jaungi" and "unke liye, inke liye, sasuma etc."...everybody would feel, that it is better to marry off their girls at tender ages when they can be moulded to the new household conditions perfectly.....

what this show, and even the protagonists have failed to convey is that education is the most important aspect of a child's life....and marriage should be at an appropriate and legal age.......

so, the entire show is a farce and ridiculous...

and imagine, our actors passing such statements..what message do they convey...??

@ regalla - Totally agree with what you said....specially Sugna and Anandi always dying to go to their Saasra and do seva (not that its bad) but these girls were so young when they were married... yet they are obsessed about their saasra and beend.. when they are supposed to be studying and enjoying their childhood with their friends... if that was not enough the actors in the name of promotion or whatever are saying child marriage is good because you develop a bond with your in laws...My foot ! 😡 ..... its utter nonsense bulls*** 🤬

Okay when the show started the producers creative s actors everybody were shouting on top of their voices that this show is against child marriage and we all abhor it but now it seems like they are promoting child marriage plus all those instances where they could have shown the ill effects of child marriage they didnt[Sugna's delivery, Gehna's circumstances]

guys she just expressed her opinion! in a way i agree.. saas-bahu should have a mother-daughter or best friend relationship.. now that does not mean i agree with child marriages..especially with what i see on balika vadhu. the crap that anandi went thru at a young age. NO WAYS does a kid need to go through that! i mean they are too young to understand the concept of taking a bullet for anothe

but yes saas bahu should be friends.. sorta like my mom and gramma.. they are so cute together and mom loves it when she comes over!

I am sure she expressed her own view but most definitely in a country lyk India whr ppl evn go to d extent of worshipping celebs n consider them role models she must think as to what kind of impact it cud mk on ertain bird brained ppl who wudnt mind blindly letting their thinking gettin affected by her views.
she myt hav casually put fwd her pov...
bt i personally feel strongly against it.
n bv hasnt been favouring child marriages I FEEL.
d current track, i mean if jag goes stray <which he's bound to> ought to teach ppl a good lesson!
and there's no age to develop modr daughter bonding.
if ppl hv clear intentions n r genuine, dey definitely cn strike a strong bond any tym.
infact, wid age matuity level increases.
so its easier to undrstnd odrs n build strong relationships.
