SaharaOne TV brings fun & mirth of college life 11/28/2005 11:03:48 AM IST

Good or bad, nobody can ever forget the day's one has spent in college. It's that time of life that brings the joy and lightness of youth, the advent of maturity, the realization of nuances of relationships and a host other feelings, moments and emotions that make the journey of college so memorable. Doesn't it feel good enough to go back to those days again Well, now relive them with SaharaOne Television's new show based on the carefree campus life- Saath Rahega Always.

SaharaOne Television comes forward, as always, to do something that will arrest the attention and capture the interest of a fatigued television audience. Their new show on teens and college life, called Saath Rahega Always, premieres on Monday, November 28 at 7: 30 p.m to be telecast between Mondays and Friday. It deals with all the characters found in a typical college- be it the mature girl, or a funky and stylish dude, or the jealous and conniving friend- you name them, they are all there on screen now.

Purnendu Bose, COO, SaharaOne Television, said, "This is not the first time that our serial has a new angle and very different kind of story line. We have always maintained to be different from what the rest of the channels have to offer. Now, Saath Rahega Always is the latest show in our creative gamut that will appeal not to just a younger crowd, but to also anyone and everyone who has been to and experienced a memorable college life."

Saath Rahega Always is the journey of Peehu, Krish and Soham who have been friends for a long time and belong to the 2nd year of Degree College. Though they are extremely different in nature and their goals in life are varied, each one is extremely close to the other and they spend most of their time together especially in the college canteen, at their 'Table no. 7'. The show promises to be an emotional drama that connects with 'the kid in the heart' in its audience.

Directed by Himanshu Consul, the new show from Monday to Friday also launches two new faces, Neha Marda as the bubbly and accommodating Peehu Bhargava, and Karan Rai as the sophisticated and fitness freak Krish Oberoi. Both of them are excited about this venture because more than anything else, they feel they are able to portray themselves in the show and are able to relate with all the issues, circumstances, the joys and lowdown of college life.

This is the second show launched by SaharaOne in the month of November. Kituu…Sabb Jaantii Hai was launched on Monday, November 14, at the 9: 30 p.m. time band. It is a show which revolves around the world of a middle-class but carefree girl Kituu who finds herself to face the competitive profession of journalism and becomes the well-known face all across the nation as a determined and a hard-core journalist.
