1.the scene begins with dhulwadi a remote village in bhuj gujarat.there lives a young girl khanak who is 20 years or so.She is the only daughether and very simple,innocent,bubbly and naughty as well.
2.Khanak has a childhood sweetheart named suraj.they are to be married within a week or so.
This suraj is a resposible sole bread winner of his family which consists of dad,mum.mangalbha/hetal bhabh and sister gopi.
3.Suraj's dad belonged to sort of royal family but now they have nothing except the haveli and honour in the village.suraj works in a factory at dhulwadi and is a machine operator.
he is very much attached to his family and tells khanak often when they meet that she should also love them in the same way.khanak being a very nice girl agrees to the same.
4.Shantanu is the son of a very rich man sunil khandelwal who owns a group of businesses. Akshay is his elder brother married to khushboo again the daughter of a rich business man Mr.Agarwal.natasha is her sister.they have no mother.shaan's mother madhvi does not act to her age and always spends time in leisure actvites not taking keen interest in family affairs.
5.shantanu being brought up with all comforts etc.,is always playful and never takes things seriously.he is in short a spoilt brat.He is to be married to natasha his bhabhis sister within a week or so.
6.he gets into trouble whild driving a ssports bike because it hits a police jeep.He is put to jail.natasha with her dad's influence rescues him.But sunil the senior k is upset with this and decides to punish his (or rather make him learn afew things) sends him to dhulwadi in connection with the installation of new machinery,
7.shaan reluctantly agrees and arrives in dhulwadi.there he happens to meet khanak in a funny way.(watch the episodes for details) and they sort of know each other.khank suraj's marriage takes place.But they postpone th other things(hope u know what) which was supposed to happen
after a kuwa(well)pooja.
8.Meanwhile shaan wants to kick start the machine immediately and leave for mumbai as early as possible.But suraj the machine operator is on holiday because of his maarriage.Shaan is quite impulsive and cannot wait.He decides to bring suraj to work at any cost without wasting time.
9.surraj's brother mangal and his bhabhi hetal are greedy couple.mangal has a limp in the leg and cits that as a reason an does not work at all.they never lose any oppurtunity to make money.
shaan's manager choksi bribes mangal by giving more than suraj's monthly salary and asks him to send suraj to work for a day at any cost.mangal agrees.
10.suraj's mother objects to mangal asking suraj to go for work.But suraj the loving brother he is does not want to put mangal to trouble leaves for work.
11.suraj is working on the operation of new machinery with shaan beside.Suraj is attending to some elctrical work and asks shaan not to switch on the electricity till he gives the signal from top.Shaan is busy talking with natasha over mobile and misinterprets this as he is asked to switch on the machine immediately.
12.suraj is thrown off and dies in hospital. .Meanwhile khank reaches temple to pray along with suraj.She is waiting for him since a long time but he never turns up.Just then shaan who is upset with the suraj incident comes to temple tells about the incident and the whole mobile thing to khanak who is there already as a sort of unburdening himself.He does not tell the name suraj.Khanak advises him to visit the dead persons family and console them no matter what.he agrees.
13.khanak after waiting for a longtime returns home to find shaan and a whole lot of crowd there.shaan is taken aback when he realises suraj is khank's husband.
14.shaan says to khanak that now that the incident has already happened nothing can be done except for moeny compesnation>he says he would give huge amount of money as compensation
and asks khanak to agree.
15.Khanak knows that shaan is in a way responsbile for suraj's death and so does not want to accept any money from him.Shaan repeatedly asks her but she is firm that shaan should be adequately punished.
16.She appeals to the panchayat to punish shaan.Shaan during defence lets w wrod that khanak can have a future if she remarries.the chief challenges him to find a bridegroom since inv illages nobody would marry a widow.he is put under a sort of village home arrest till he finds the bride.
17.shaan desperately wants to leave for mumbai he has a tough time getting a bride groom
18>meanwhile natasha's dad dislikes shaan too much because he thinks shaan is highly irresponsible and the dhulwadi incident confirms his belef.now he wants to stop shaan-tashu's marriage som,e how.
19,Shaan find a village boy who is very greedy.and agrees to marry khanak for money.Khanak is initially opposed to remarriage but since it is village order she has to oblige.She talks with the village boy and takes his fake assurance that he would take care of suraj's family too after marriage.The boy agrees,meanwhile natasha;s dad comes to know of this somehow and gives more money to the village boy asking him to run away.He wants to put shaan into deep trouble.
20.the village boy runs away on the very time of marriage.The village chief and others are infuriated with shaan for finding such a person and bribing him.They beat shaan nearly to death.khanak in bridal attire is watching all this suddenly realises that shaan may be killed and also her father-in-law's honour may be damaged permanently becuase the marriage did not take place.
Also she wants to secure her suraj's family as she relaises she needs money for supporting them.
21.Khank decides to save shaan's life by marrying him.,Becuae the villagers would then not kill him.he lays 2 conditions to shaan one of which is he should poay a compensation of 20 lakhs to suaj's dad immediately after reaching mumbai.
22.shaan has no choice excpet to agree.they get married.
23.Shaan takes the new bride to mumbai.Khanak has sold her jewellery and made provison for surja's family's maintanence for the time being.
24.Natasha and others are shocked to find shaan with his bride.Khanak agrees to leave their home the next morning.Meanwhile natasha's dad contacts mangal over phone and tempts him
to mortgauge the haveli for money.Mangal also presssuries his father and mortgauges the same to natasha's dad.
25.When khanak is about to leave khandelwal's home mr.a appears and threatens her to stay back otherwise he would throw suraj's family out now that he has got haveli's papers.He wants to stop natasha'shaan wedding somehow.
26.Khanak now has no other choice.,excpet to stay.Everyone inclding shaan dislike her.But sunil k's mother loves her a lot.
27<Meanwhile natasha feels insecure about khanak's presnce with shaan and decides to move to her sisters sasural for some time.Shaan's brother manages to get khanak's sign on shaan' divorce papers and asks shaan to file it.
28.Khanak know s that natasha and shaan are to have been married and so shekeeps quiet carrying on with her wifey duties.She tolerates all the insultswith soft spoken words since she is used to respecting elders.
29.natasha questions on khank toomuch to shaan oneday and they get into a fight.natasha leaves for outside.Meanwhile shaan wants to path up with her arranges for a date in their house when all the members are out.khanak is given the letter meant for natasha and since there is no name in the letter she also stays back in the house.
30.shaan khank are all alone in the house.shaan is disappointed at natasha not turning up and drinks heavily.He feels lonely and drags khana to spend time with him they both get along very well and in an intoxicated conditionkhanak takes shaan to his bed room.nothing really hapeens but anearring of khanak drops on shaan's bed.
31.Khushboo bhabhi senses that
something had happened by seeing the ear ring.Meanwhile khanak feels giulity about spending time with shaan and so decides to telleverything to natasha.
32.Natasha's dad overhears the conversation while natasha is away>.natasha enters from outside only to hear khanak saying about the night in avery polished way.But still natasha misunderstanda and leaves home without telling anyone.
33.Shaan/khanak have a talk.khanak feels that she is in the way of shaan/tashu and so decides to leave nthe house.shaan does not object to it.
34.Meanwhile Mr.singhanai a gujarati business man wants khnaak to be included as a partner in the forthcoming project and it is a big deal for shaan as well.
35.Since shaan and most importantly akshay k and sunil k wantsto have the business deal they force shaan to bring back khanak at all costs.
36.shaan goes in search of khanak and has a wide range of experiences.(PLEASE DEFInitely see the episodes.fabulous acting by the leads yash/kt and cameo by gaurav geera)
shaan/khanak have the best of moments so far.
37.he realises that khanak is avery nice girl meaning no harm to him>he grows too fond of her.But chooses to become friends with her.
38.khanak also becomes friendly with him and after his fulfillin the condition of earning money himself returns to mumbai along with shaan.shaan has not told her that he searched for her only for business instead tells her it is for getting divorce without complications.Khanak is impressed that he openly told that it is for divorce.
39.There she finds .suraj's bro mangal bhabh hetal and behen gopi in the house.mangal/hetal have come to extract money.
40>natasha returns back but shaan decides to be friends with her till divorce is sanctioned.
he decides to concentrate o n khanak for the time being supporting her as a very close friend.
41. Khushboo insults Khanak for being illiterate and not knowing anything, Shaan gets upset and tries to tell Natasha to talk to Khushboo but she refuses.
42. Khanak wants to learn the english language and so she begins with an alphabet book. She is reading by the pool when Shaan comes from behind and scares her, thinking he's a ghost, she tries to attack him with the book and both end up falling into the pool.
