In the hunt for the new face of Kkusum, the fourth anniversary celebrations of this Sony daily seemed to have been lacklustre. This 'aam ladki ki khaas kahani' which began on May 3 has completed 880 episodes. With Kkusum, her husband Abhay (Anuj Saxena) Taashu (Narayani Shastri) and Mahi (Poonam Narula Goyal) this marry-go-round has three offsprings in four years — Kumud (Aashka Goradia), Kali (Rucha Gujarathi) and Trishul (Akashdeep Sehgal). Here are the main moments from the show which has had three faces of Kkusum played by Nausheen Ali Sardar, Manasi Joshi Roy and now Shilpa Saklani. Shaheen Parkar MAY 2001: The show started as an aam ladki ki kahani with Nausheen Ali Sardar in the title role who gets married to Abhay (below) SEPTEMBER 2002: The other woman in Abhay's life, Isha, walked out of the show. She later returned only to be out yet again in September 2004 DECEMBER 2003: It took an 18-year leap with the GenerationNext — Kumud, Kali, Garv and Kshitij FEBRUARY 2004: Nausheen opted out post the leap as she did not want to play mother Kkusum marries Abhay MARCH 2004: Manasi Joshi Roy enters as the new Kkusum AUGUST 2004: Abhay's wife Mahi falls to her death only to be back in the show in April 2005 FEBRUARY 2005: Taashu's son Trishul enters to settle old scores MAY 2005: Shilpa Saklani, the latest Kkusum What we would like to see • That the polygamous Abhay immediately stop his marriage spree. • Kumud and Kali, both decide to stick to their partners instead of a marry-go-round between Garv and Kshitij. • Abhay's former wives, Taashu and Mahi, should form an ex-wives' club and once and for all take on Kkusum.
