in the third phase of saregama in 1996 amey reached finals with Junaid akhtar where he lost to junaid, Pt shivkumar sharma was the judge and amey was hardly 18 then, was praised by panditji..
in 1999 saregama took runners up mega finals( after winners megafinal),,, there he was with Jaswinder singh, vijay prakash... but again he lost to jaswinder ... anil biswas, naushad, op nayyar, girijadevi, were the judges

wow,I didn't know that in India one can enter in to more than one programs to compete...

I don't know..but I think it doesn't happen here in US
