India-Forums - Migration Completed Successfully

The Migration went smoothly and all data moved to the new server. 😊. Do let us know if you are able to notice any significant improvement in speed?

I have a good news 😊 and a bad news! 😔

So first the good news is that we are happy to announce that we are soon going to migrate our site to even more faster Servers 😊

For the more technically inclined members we are moving the database servers to the new 2x Xeon 5680 with over 48GB RAM with 15k rpm SAS drives with RAID10 for maximum data reliability and performance. And from the software front we moving the entire database to SQL Server 2008 Standard on Windows Server 2008 R2 Standard. We are also upgrading our web servers to Xeon 3450 series.

Now the bad news is that while we would be moving the server to the new system India-Forums.com would not be accessible for around 2hours (estimated). We would be carrying out the migration on Monday, 23 August around 3AM IST (midnight). Migration Completed Successfully
