Angels and Demons.

Angels and demons is my fav:)

Which according to you is his best work? Why?
Angels and Demons! And I'm quite happy that quite a few others also think that. I found the story and the history behind the plot much more relevant than the other books. Even though it is far fetched (like all his other books), I could the reasoning given for the Arab killer was quite good. Most importantly, I loved the end. I mean the biggest punishment for the priest was knowing what he had done, as opposed to anything else the authorities could do to him. I honestly didn't see the whole Pope being the father thing that way.
More than anything else the history part appealed to me alot.

What about Dan's writing/style or his use of themes/storyline do you like most?
Hmm even though he has this set pattern of storytelling, the story always grips you and you are always eager to reach the end. And yes he does have a set pattern and it's easy to tell the villain, but still his storytelling always grips you as a reader.

How do the film adaptions of The Da Vinci Code and Angels and Demons compare to the books?
They really suck. Nothing like the books :(

I am a big fan of Mr.Brown and I have read all of his books. Here is my opinion.
The last Symbol was a major dissapointed but I know I would have loved it if it was the first Dan Brown novel i'd read. But because id read much better from him, it just dint impress that much.

I absolutely loved the da vinci code and then I read Angels and Demons and it was amazing... the plot, the characters, the pope, the science Vs religion, Illuminati, the symbols... it was extremely clever and educational.

Da vinci code was obivously abit more controversial. but abit less believable. Exixtence of jesus's bloodline was beyond me really. But the symbools, the priory of sion, and the traditions and everything described is pretty amazing too.

But personally, I preferred and enjoyed Angels and Demons alot more. Infact, it has to be one of the best novels i've ever read.


What about Dan's writing/style or his use of themes/storyline do you like most?
After reading 2 or 3 of his books, his writing style becomes very familiar and repeated. but it doesn't make it any less interesting.
He is a clever man, he always choses the most interesting themes- Jesus, holy grail, Pope, Aliens, Codes, the Masons, secret societies-etc. The more controversial topic he writes about the more interesting it gets.

How do the film adaptions of The Da Vinci Code and Angels and Demons compare to the books?

DA vin ci code - a big fat murder of the book
Angels and Demons - MUchhhh better , still not impressed

Tom Hanks(Robert Langdon) is the absolute saving grace. How amazing is tht man.

my favporite danbrown book is angels and demons.i think its a classic and the best work he ever wrote.
