Ok, although pretty inactive the whole of yday and today, i have been catching up on the discussions ...:)
I've mostly posted my thoughts already, but a few things, that I noticed and thought will share...:)
Tum jaanti ho na main kaun hoon... main SHaantanu Khandelwaal hoon.
No denying that Shaantanu... but it was significant that right after he says this...in the name of assuring Khanak of his bharosa, he agrees to it... and in that moment... Shaantanu Khandelwaal was just Shaantanu... it just doesnt work for him to keep up that facade ... of I know how to deal with things... he just keeps it all aside... and is just, all of the man he can be... when it comes to Khanak....every other tag associated with his name loses its importance / meaning ...even his surname
Main ek aurat hoon...
While Khanak is all grown up... talking about being a aurat and knowing the pain... it is SHaantanu who is amused of how this chirpy girl he has known is talking all mature - his expression says it all... its so not you Khanak... his dreaded feeling comes true... she begins to sound like Natasha... 'Oh I am so grown up...' and the ire is superbly apparent on his face... this situation is irking him even more... what does he do to get out of it... he has to get Khanak out... so take the mickey out of her and bingo she comes out of that trance... and they are bickering again... as usual...and she is back to being the Khanak he knew... Khanak that sets him free from his pretense...
And oh... the bit about being miffed... he is miffed that mentionig Khanak's name in that whole trying to console Natasha fiasco... has only led to him again don that pretense that he only so willingly shed in front of Khanak and that is the ire that he expresses to Khanak as well...'Tumhaari wajah se...'
Aap mujhe bharosa karte hai na?
Such a simple statement that holds the such significance in their relationship - as to how far they have come...from just being two strangers caught in a marriage, to being roomies to being companions who have such implicit faith in each other... one that needs no words to prove its worth...
The little finger thing Khanak does, when she points out at Shaantanu and how he just gently brushes it off... just shows... the subtle control Shaantanu has in the relation... its only to a point he will take the masti and all the blames (when he is convinced he is deserving) but not when he is questioned about things, he knows, are quite obviously and ought not to be... Khanak in that instant knew... she had overstepped ... questioning his faith in her... and his silent but definitely clear indication that she ought not to do that... has her a little worried and she blurts... 'aapko mujhpe bharosa nahin hai..." and he immediately softens... he doesnt like being stern with her... and immediately lets her know... he does... her requests mean much to him and he takes them seriously... and that is saying a lot and lets her know...about much he trusts...her...
All the other scenes were discussed I guess and I had my say too but I just had to say what I noticed...
Am off to watch the serial... catch u guys soon!
