question regarding Maan?

I don't know if this has been posted before, so sorry if this is a double post. Just wanted to put my thoughts out there.

Recently all i hear of if whether the current track is caused by Maan's ego or his love, maybe both and there has been great speculation as to what happened in the day which he was gone........becasue it's hard to belive that The MSK would just sit on a plane for 6 hours. Either way, the thing which is bothering me is the fact that, should maan not already know that geet is married?

Yesterday i was watching old scenes from the beginning of the show, and i saw the scene where Maan carrying an unconsious geet is confronted by Channi's mother, with her statements of "unhone iss ko bhi maar dala" and about seeing Geet and her husband. Also, he knows for sure that there was a guy in Geet's life due to what happened that day in Amritsar. for a person who is shown to be so intelligent and with such good memory, its odd to see something like this being forgotten.

What do you guys think the story is?
