I was definitely very pleasantly surprised to see him smiling when he saw her. At the same time, I somehow felt it wasn't all that unexpected. Because, like you said, he admitted to himself that he's at his worst when he's talking to Shilpa, in terms of rudeness. And just the fact that he knows it, implies that he doesn't mean to be rude that way. She makes him react like that, for reasons unknown to us as well as to him. That's why when he says that she's nothing to him, it makes one wonder a little. That if she isn't, why does she make him react at all? Of course, there's no conscious attraction yet. At all. But maybe there's something a little beyond him, that'll bring them closer, eventually. He's certainly not in love with her, or even close, like you said. They're not even friends, really. But if nothing else, at least her unreadable-ness makes him wonder what she's about, his assertions of her meaning nothing to him notwithstanding. They've a long, long way to go though. Armaan is still in love with Riddhima, and I would want to see him take a while to move on, if and when he does. As an AR fan, actually, I'm not sure if I'd even want him to...but I quite like ArSh as well...so yes, if he does move on, I'd at least like it to be more sensitive and understandable than what it was like during the advent of the new and improved Riddhima Modi. No offense meant to anyone, just my point of view. 😊
Nice post!
Cheers! 😊

Hey Nandini, and I feel quite happy that you noticed and liked my topics from before. Lol no apologies needed...we both have done enough of that with each other ;)
@Bold: I really like what you said there b/c yes they're not lovers or friends. But she does make him react all the time, hence this relationship is not just of mere colleagues. There seems to be something more. However, Armaan doesn't seem to be in a state to decipher that just yet.
After today's episode I see her as 'trying' to avoid him but maybe his fight will bring them closer?

Nonetheless I garee with you that he will take his time to move on. Mroe than being any person's fan, logic demands that he take his time. One can't expect him to forget Riddhima so easily and fall hopelessly in love with Shilpa. That's just not Armaan.
Oh and I agree that I want the ArSh relationship to have much more understanding than the AR one. And somehow I really think we will get that b/c of both are suffering from this past, and so they will be able to relate to each other alot more. Plus Shilpa seems quite different form her sister.

Thank you so much for replying :)

Recently we have seen Armaan display this very bitter side to others, especially Shilpa. In fact he himself admitted that he's on his worst behaviour with her. She seems to annoy him a lot even though she is always there to help him out. He can't seem to understand this woman as he (or rather their encounters) keeps on unveiling this very different side to Shilpa. Nonetheless, no matter how much Shilpa helps Armaan, he's always displayed this annoyed stance to her. Which in turn leaves me annoyed, but I guess its needed. Armaan has never behaved with anyone the way he is with Shilpa. He's annoyed and flustered. Sometimes at a loss for words. He doesn't want her but doesn't realize he needs her.

But today was different! Today in the rec room (ah the rec room, my current favourite place...it has become THE ArSh place now), we saw him getting amused by Shilpa's 'antics'. He made me smile when he smiled. She was innocently trying to imitate him from all their major encounters, just so she could vent out her frustration. Frustration for what? Frustration for all these feelings that she is harboring for Armaan, but is having a hard time suppressing. Again we see ArSh use the rec room as the place to vent out those emotions, and yes it may not be as dramatic as the last time, but still Shilpa's imitations were just a way of venting out her emotions. I thought the whole scene was so enacted so well. Shilpa is just too cute for words, no wonder Armaan smiled.

Anyways, Armaan sees her doing this, and I truly expected him to go in there, yell a little and then be annoyed with her. I actually didn't expect that at all. I thought he may have had enough of yelling at her. I was thinking he would just leave and rather tease her a little later about her 'act' but boy was I pleasantly surprised. Nevertheless, he actually seemed to be amused by those imitations, and Shilpa managed to do what others haven't been able to do in a LONG time: Make Armaan smile :)
Armaan's amusement and his smile are clear signs (for me at least) that slowly Armaan is changing, and so are his feelings towards Shilpa. He was no longer the bitter, 'sarroo' doctor today, rather Shilpa gave us a glimpse of the old Armaan. I was so happy to see the old Armaan. I can't wait until he falls in love with her and realizes it.
Oh and I realize Armaan says that Shilpa isn't anything for him, but I really think she is becoming something. Yes she's definitely not that important as yet, but the process has started when she will soon become the most important person in life. The only person he's trying to convince with that lie is himself (and maybe Riddhima). We all are well aware of her affect on him. I mean come on she made him S M : ) E! The only thing I'm afraid of is that with Shilpa deciding she will truly not focus on Armaan, that there maybe a slight halt in their story.

P.S. sorry for the late reply!
