Star One Ready With Two New Shows
After the release of the show 'Mano Ya Na Mano' and 'Pyar Ki Ye Ek Kahani', Star One is getting ready for two more shows this September.
One of the shows is by Sphere Origins, tentatively titled 'Mera Pehla Pehla Pyaar'. Earlier thought to be titled 'Hote Hote Pyar Ho Gaya', the show is about a girl from Agra, who is on the hunt for her first love. But fate has other plans for her as she finds someone else instead. The cast here is absolutely new and has been more or less finalized for the same.
The other show, which is still untitled, is said to be produced by well-known Marathi producer-director Sanjay Surkar. It is a story based on the life of a girl whose tale matches with that of Priyanka Gandhi. She is the daughter of a politician and aspires to be an architect. However, after her dad's death, all his political responsibilities fall on her.
According to a source, Surkar has already produced a National Award winner Marathi movie on a similar subject. The show, however, won't be exactly like the movie and will focus on the story of the girl who is in search of her own identity.
It seems Star One is moving away from its fun-loving youth-centric image and is coming up with a little more mature subject, but channel officials feel that this show will be accepted just the same by its loyal audience as the channel will keep its flavour intact. Let's hope the viewers feel the same way.
