I have a request . Please discuss this topic amicably I dont want this thread to be shut down for bAshing .If Pratigya supporters dont like my views , its best NOT to enter this thread and start an argument . I wanted to share my thoughts with ALL , not to bash the lead at all .These r my thoughts about this show and I want CVS to read them . So please co operate .đ
At last some realism is shown in the serial about what happens to women who take the bull by the horns in rural UP and BIhar hometowns .
. They get KILLED . Burnt , accidentally , cut up , beaten to pulp . . The Professor's Beti impressed many starry eyed teeny boppers who thought it was wonderful that she got away by slapping GUNDAS and putting up a valiant fight . Her most famous dialogue was ..............WE WILL GO DOWN FIGHTING . But its scary right ?Its not so easy to go down fighting , is it ? For instance when she was locked in the room we saw her pathetically banging on the doors screaming to let her out . We didnt see her hurling abuse or kicking doors valiantly .
To all who applauded her for SAVING KESAR"S BABY by daring to go against Shakti .............what was the realism ? Today when Shakti dragged her to her room she cud not do a thing about it . Had Krishna NOT been there that day , it wud have been SAME scenario .Shakti wud have held the doc at gunpoint and made her do the abortion and wud have HIT pratigya if his brother had not been there .
Did her Bhashans ever get her what she really wanted ? We did Not see them working today , neither did we see her glares working . Neither did flowing hair and Pratigya Ban jaaye music . . The creatives throw in reality but briefly only , and then show a filmy way of Winning . The Court case was Filmy , the escape tofday with Chandu Tunna was filmy . The BURNING PLAN was the real thing that reflects society ............Bride burning indeed is a reality .Such last minute escapes with Kesar putting key conveniently in the lock DON"T HAPPEN . THEY JUST DON"T . . Komal comes EXACTLY on the day Pratigya is gonna be set on fire ? And Kesar puts key in lock exactly when Chandu Tunna r peeping like batman and Robin ? Very very uNREAL . What was REAL was the locked , helpless girl in the room . Hundreds face this fate In rural India .........they DOn't get saved at last minute at all . . Someone had asked me a question in one of my threads ..Just what do u mean when u say Pratigya is in no position to win any of her battles ? . It was precisely THIS what i meant . The way Shakti dragged her , locked her and the full family subdued her and she cud not do a THING about it . In real life if u slap a gunda , one gets her hand twisted or she gets RAPED . These r situations where ur education , glares , spitfire dialogues just dont work .U die , plain and simple ..
An interesting thing was that she phoned Chandu and Tunna , two roadside gundas , and not her own family whom she is terribly proud of to come and take her from there . Why ? Did she not have enough confidence and faith on her brother Adarsh and her ideal , strong Father to come there with the police and take her away ? Why ? She had told Krishna very pointedly when he had offered his familys contacts help in her Fathers case that HUME APNE TAREEKE SE PAPA KO CHUDANA HAI . She had stressed on the APNA TAREEKA . Well . wasnt she confident that APNA TAREEKA wud work here ?

Or was it ok for her that two roadside gumnaam gundas DIED if at all they were caught rather than her own family coz by now she knew who she was dealing with ?
Regarding the Professor
He first went to the jail unecessarily and stirred a hornet's nest
He then LEFT his daughter after their faces were blackened and came home ...........the same man who had created a ruckus over SS asking his daughter to leave the house ...............he thought a blackening incident was ok compared to a slap ? Any logic , sense here ?
He then threatened Komal with a blackening and has been consistently rude to Komal who was making genuine efforts to fit in and please him ..........he was cold , unresponsive and decided to maul the cub coz he cud not take on her DAd and Bro ? These were his great values ......constantly telling his bahu that my daughter is suffering there , so ideally YOU shud also suffer HERE ?
The only difference being ........HIS daughter went to that house with her own wish and foolhardiness , and Komal came here UNWILLINGLY .
Adarsh had married Komal with SAME INTENTION . Like Father LIKE SON .........these are their real faces .
And we see Komal telling Adarsh its ok ur father scolded me and getting affected by Adarshs telling her that just as we didnt consummate so must have Angad not touched Pratigya ? How laughable was THAT ? This unreal nonsense in this serial that Men dont touch women and just allow them to be .......Krishna , Adarsh , even Angad .........is the worst nonsense shown in the show .
Who shud be apologising to who ? Adarsh to Komal for wrecking her life or Komal to Adarsh for doing NOTHING and just being what she genuinely always was ?
The Thakurs said a lot about Pratigya's VIRGINITY . They r the villains . But may I know why the Professor told Krishna Pratigya is PAVITRA STILL LIKE THE FIRE OR GANGA OR WHATEVER ?
Why PRATIGYA , a girl with such advanced feminist thoughts constantly told Krishna she is still PURE ?
Whose SOCH is BASIC and PETTY behind the VENEER of EDUCATION ? We DONT SEE PRATIGYA SAYING I AM PURE COZ I AM AS I AM ...............the VIRGINITY FACTOR DOES NOT DECIDE THE PURITY OF A WOMAN . A RAPED WOMAN IS THE VICTIM AND THE RAPIST IS AT FAULT , THE KIDNAPPER IS AT FAULT NOT THE WOMAN . I REFUSE TO GIVE CERTIFICATES OF MY VIRGINITY TO U GUYS .
Had she said that I wud have applauded her . But u know what , she turned out to be very very common .
