Are we watching the same show?

You all would be wondering what does this title mean🤔

I was watching Geet US episodes. The episodes shown in US are running a week behind if I am not mistaken. I realized the song from movies used for Maan and Geet scenes the one shown in India episodes have been replaced by other tunes. Except for Kurbaan Hua other songs like Hum Tum Ek Kamre Main, Behne De, Kehna Hi Kya, Mann Ki Lagan and Where's The Party Tonight have been replaced by music.

I don't know the reason for doing this maybe it's related to copyright issues. Though I loved the tunes used in US episodes esp rain hug scene but since I am used to see Maan and Geet with those songs aired in India episodes I felt something missing.

I have uploaded those scenes on Youtube. Below post will contain all the links of the all song seqeunces which has been replaced by some other music including Kurbaan Hua.

yaaa....i obsrved this.....i generally wait for a whole week for the HQ videos before downloading as the us epis are one week behind...
lately i too observed as u said that...the songs were replaced by some other music...for all except kurbaan hua one...
hope it doesnt happen with other songs like teri deewani or kehna hi kya....😕
me downloading full epi..then i download that song bit again from youtube....
but as u said..here seeing the original with song in tv n then in youtube...got used to them totally ..that for a sec when hearing that music for the first time itss odd...but getting used to both the bits now..😆

hope they put the song in us epi too...
by the way...y r the songs not telecasted in us episodes...is tehre any restrictions??can anyone pls tell me...this doubt has been in my mind since a long time..😊

in US Geet is exactly one week behind....and they even had a different promo for the mosque scene....they showed "deewani" for two days n tat was replaced as well....

The tune they use din the start of the rain sequence Behne De was Zindagi Main Koi Kabhi Aaye Na Rabba start music one of my fav tunes and it was nice to see that music played there but like you said we see the episodes with sing so many times we get habituated to them :(

Btw rain hug scene tune is just beautiful😍😍

Yeah Shru, there is some issues with that. Apparently , only Geet has that problem. All other shows on Star One air the exact same one.

Like Teri Deewani is gonna be replaced by Mahi. It's gonna look so odd, since Teri Deewani sequence has been set according to the lyrics.

I wish they would seriously do something. Behene De Mujhe is a different thing, but Teri Deewani?

Yeah Shru,

They showed scenes from Dargah and when Geet tells Maan she doesn't see his face and the line is like; Will Geet ever realize or something like hat? It has not been shown in India. I just saw it today.

But Kurbaan Hua was aired Shru in the U.S, but everything else gets replaced.

I was Geet last night in excitment since I wanted EHQ of Teri Deewani, but to my surprise, Teri Deewani is replaced by Maaneet's Mahiiii.. I like Mahi, but I prefer Teri Deewani, cause the sequence is fit with the lyrics of TD.

More than Mahii, I rather have that Maan-Geet music that they showed when Geet is remembering her days in Hoshayapur. Has anyone ripped that music? It's like fast space. Kinda.

The Geet team through their FB page had explained this some time back ...when some members pointed this out ...

Apparantly its about the rights to the song ..... according to them .securing global rights to new songs works out to be very expensive ...so they are helpless ..

This was definitely the issue with Behne De .... and maybe with Teri Deevani too

.and if they have not replaced Kehna hii Kya ....maybe its because its a relatively old song...( from the 90's )....so here they may not have that issue ....
