You know I hate science, science and me is like chalk and cheese 😭
1. does water float?
Yes it does, but if you are looking for a scientific reason as to why I think it floats, ask Bhaskar he knows I have half a brain cell left, I can answer but cannot offer a reason to this one 😉
2. why do black tyres produce white smoke
There is no oil or lubricant as the tyre is just hitting the surface, When someone speeds of very fast and the tyres rotate at a quick speed the particles that are emitted into the atmosphere (which has a lower temperature) form into a cloud of white smoke this is perfectly normal, if there was oil or a stronger lubricant then black smoke would be common. 😃
3. Why are stairs called 'stairs' when inside, but when you're outside they're called 'steps'
One definition of stairs is "A series or flight of steps" So stairs are longer than steps and go higher, stairs usually connect levels, floors, or stories of a building. Stairs usually have a handrail, A "flight" of stairs usually refers to a continuous run between one floor and another or a shorter run between abrupt changes in horizontal direction. "Steps" is often used for what is more properly called the "treads" of stairs, the horizontal part you step on ( the vertical part, if there is one, at the back of the tread and supporting the front of the next tread is called a riser.) . "Steps" is the term usually used for shorter outdoor flights. Though a building can have outdoors stairs or indoor steps between floor levels just a few feet apart. If it's higher than your head call it stairs. And if it's higher than your head don't fall, especially if I'm below you 😛
4. Scientists say the universe is expanding all the time but what is it expanding in to
okay here goes…………. One version, the "cosmological constant," says empty space has an unchanging energy that makes it swell. As it grows, more of the energy appears, propelling the growth more rapidly. Space expands forever therefore the universe also expands. 😃
5. Why do they call Greenland "Greenland" when its all ice, and Iceland "Iceland" when its all green
Essentially, Greenland was given its name as a sales ploy. The island, most of which lies under a permanent ice cap, was discovered by Eric the Red, who sailed from Iceland in 982 A.D. He chose the name to make the island sound more attractive to potential settlers. In 986 A.D. about 25 shiploads of emigrants followed Eric from Iceland to Greenland and founded a Norse colony that lasted for 500 years. So we can blame the Norwegians they are as confusing as the British. 😃
6. Why is the meaning of life hard to find when you have a dictionary
Dictionary quote: "The property or quality that distinguishes living organisms from dead organisms and inanimate matter, manifested in functions such as metabolism, growth, reproduction, and response to stimuli or adaptation to the environment originating from within the organism."
That is why the dictionary is of no use to anyone when all it does is confuse people, remember it is written by the British and they have done nothing but cause confusion. If you want to know the meaning of life then you just have to do one thing, live life and live it well.
