Delhi's been getting a higher than ever dose of fashion past few weeks. First, it was the couture week, and now, it's the "Aisha" team. The movie's promotions have been a complete fashion joyride. And since it's a Delhi movie, Delhi's been stepping out in their high-end best for Sonam, Rhea and company! This evening was no different ' a high-end luxury brand hosted a charity event for Sonam Kapoor, her sis and the producer Rhea, and gal-pals in the film' Ira Dubey, Amrita Puri and Lisa Haydon. Kalyani Saha Chawla had Sonam auction off a pricey bag, the proceeds from which will go for a good cause.

STAR POWER: Sonam, tall and elegant in a wine-red ensemble, was the star of the evening. As soon as she entered, she was surrounded by friends from the Delhi fash frat ' Manish Arora, Ritu Kumar, Atsu Sekhose... Her aunt, Reena Marwah, Anil Kapoor's sister, was there too, with another niece of hers, Bhavika. Rhea handled things quietly, from behind the scenes, while the girls enjoyed their second high -fashion change of the day. After spending the first half of the day in the "Aisha" look, the girls changed again into high-end designerwear. Ira was heard excitedly telling Manish how Lisa was found trying on her dress one day!

COCKTAILS? NAH: Ajay Bijli, when asked to choose between two cocktails, asked for something simpler instead. So he doesn't like cocktails, we asked? "No, I always feel like there's a lot going down there," he said. And what, we asked, does his taste in movies tend to be ' apart from the ones he produces? "Lots of kinds of movies, really," he said. "I last watched "The Last Station." It's the last chapter of Leo Tolstoy's life; it has Christopher Plummer and James MvAvoy. That one was really nice. Maybe it wasn't feasible for a theatrical release here, but I think it's out. Then, even though it was our movie, I thought "TZP" was pretty great!" And which one's his favourite? "That's a tough one!" he said. "Nearly impossible to answer."

AUCTION ACTION: Finally, the girl in the limelight (we mean Sonam, yaar) took to the stage, spoke about the activity and started the auction, going around the do and making fun of people. "Delhi men don't spend much, do they?" she exclaimed at one point, after seeing that not too many guys were keen to cough up the money for the bag. She was quite the life of the do, chatting and talking and laughing with everyone. Rima Mehra, after seeing her energy and vivacity, was quite amazed to hear that Sonam had been at it since that morning, making multiple brand-linked appearances all day, and she still had a dinner party to attend after the do!

Umm, I dont get what this writer is trying to say? Is he trying to say that Delhi ppl dont spend much if not for the movie?? If thats the case, the writer is seems not so aware of Delhi and the people. If Delhi people were not totally into fashion then Asia's biggest brand mall would not have opened in Delhi itself. There is a reason why it got opened in DELHI. Bcoz, ppl in delhi SPEND. Spend like crazy.
And delhi guys dont spend? In Delhi, the high class youth gets a pocket money which is about 20,000 a week. They spend 10,000 once in clubbing only. And clubbing at delhi is like hugeee!!! Its not like, I like it but wen u hve it, no big deal in spending it. For guys, their spend their own money and for their girls.
Fashion at delhi is high. VERY HIGH. Even before Aisha. For that very same reason, Aisha IS A Delhi girl. Cuz Delhi girls are high in fashion. No matter what the price. And guys pay like anything for their girls or for themselves.
If the writer is saying the same as me, then sorry. My english is at a low these days :P And I miss my delhi...loll.
But does anyone know where the charity took place?
@-starlight- :- Before we get into a debate, I just wanna say I am talking about the writer....nothing to you 😆😳 Btw, did the article mention anything about where the charity was?

Before jumping into any conclusion we must see what kind of charity was it. And i seriously don't find a big deal If Sonam is helping/attending to the event. We don't have to make it a issue just because Sonam is doing something nice.if by promoting you movie will help a charity, then go for it. Atleast she has time to dress elegant and give some time to the charity and i don't understand why are you making it a big issue. She did something nice, it still a problem. And i don't understand how attending an event will make people to watch movie. Or else Sonam is distributing free tickets.

I always become emotional??? do you know me or you a mind-reader?

I support a lot of social causes which is why this topic is dear to me.

Once again as you are entitled to have an opinion thats this isnot a big deal, similarly Im also enitled to have an opinion wherein I think its shallow. As long I dont sl*g of anyone here I believe I can express my opinion.

Anyways there is no use engaging on a conversation about this with you... I'm not saying anything more.

My world doesnot start and end with Sonam or for that matter any of these stars.
