Moderators, some answers please

Dear Bhaskar, Priya, and Jem,

I am sorry if this issue has been addressed earlier too. What is going on in this forum? Senior members in this forum are getting banned without any reason. Abhi, who is the most interesting person in this forum, got banned suddenly. WHY? He is the person who posted the updates, gave his critical analyses, posted number of very knowledgeable articles, and uploaded several rare songs for the members. He is a member who has always said the truth, always spoke from his heart, and always stood against when something wrong happened in this forum.

Don't you guys want this forum to be a place where people could have some serious discussions and also have some fun? If the answer is no, then it will be goodbye from me too. Please let me know.

One more thing I would like to bring to your attention. When someone bashes somebody in this forum then the moderators don't like it, and why is that? Because it's the policy that no one should humiliate anybody in this forum, and I respect that. But do you all think that the moderators have the birthright to insult or humiliate any member in this forum. Could you guys please explain why there is a humiliating comment under Abhi's name. We need an answer from the moderator who did that, because today its Abhi, tomorrow it could be another respected and loved member like Sinha ji or Bhakta ji, and then anyone else. If some of the moderators decide to act like dictators then, it will not be tolerated. There are many members who do not need this nonsense.

I have nothing against you three and respect you all, but this issue needs to be addressed by the moderator who suddenly started to act GOD in this forum.

I agree that the comment under Abhi's name "Apologized. Ban Removed" should be deleted ASAP (not sure if that will solve the matter)

One more thing. I am not sure but in the last couple of days - three or four days, Abhi was posting excellent information relevant to music. Now if he is banned for something that happened a long time back, then that hardly carries weight. but then the exact reason for his temporary ban is known to the moderator(s) responsible so I cannot comment much on this. But from what Abhi posted, didn't see any valid reason for a ban (definitely not compared to what some other members are posting or rather vandalizing in this forum).

Sorry mods, this wasn't against any of you. I was rather trying to investigate the reason for the ban (which at this stage I can't find any).

hope this is not considered an affront against anyone, since i do have the greatest respect for all. but i think good leaders dont mind being challenged. moderators have a responsibility to lead, not just dictate, and in that spirit they should be able to defend actions. rememember this is not the army where orders have to be obeyed, no matter what. this is a forum, where opinions are aired and where the situation calls for leaders, not generals.

incidentally, there is something called "hate crimes", which are defined as crimes against humanity. Among these are attacks based on someone's nationality, religion, gender, race, ethnicity etc. These are considered the MOST odious of all crimes. In normal circumstances, someone may not get a death penalty for murder, but if it can be established that the murder had a "hate" element, then capital punishement is MANDATED. Now, if a country with such a strong system of fair play and jurispudence has this law on their books, it really speaks volumes for how educated people might view an attack on nationality vis-a-vis a personal insult. Clearly the first is considered far worse than the second.

hope we establish some principles- would help set our priorities straight and reduce some of the arbitrariness when we serve out high-handed decisions.

If that moderator shows me the "so called offensive" comment for which Abhi was banned, then I promise that I will show him/her atleast 20 more comments from other members that are twice offensive than Abhi's comment.

This just sort of increases the problem and right now, all of us here in the Dev Team, would like to sort out the problems and assuage each one of you that the forum is for all of us, you and us and all of us are equal on the forum. NO ONE is more important or less. We stand on an equal plane and it is our endevour to treat all alike.

Mr. Rao, We are looking at all members, not just AD. It is humanly not possible for us to check out each and every post.

IF there is any thread where any member has been offensive, used swear words, used four letter words and filthy language either against a contestant, a mentor or a fellow member, please report the post, or pm a Mod who is online and action will be taken immediately.

Using Four letter words on the forum is not permitted by any one.

We would surely appreciate an answer from the person who considers himself/herself to be on a higher plane.
