It is apparent that Mili has developed a crush on Abhi. Following the attempted rape and the aftermath, the one person whom she could consistently rely on was Abhi. And like all of us who have fallen in love with Abhi, Mili was no exception. She has no idea what has happened but it (a crush) has happened and she now has feelings for him.
How the writers plan on handling such a complex issue is dependent on how much they want to focus on the inner conflict of Mili or get higher ratings. If they want to win our sympathy, then the production team should have Mili fighting her inner conflict - feelings for someone who cannot be hers. If she has any intelligence, then she would avoid Abhi at all costs. She would not do such immature things as she has been doing and she would talk to someone she could trust - like a friend or counselor - about her feelngs. However, rather than address this issue in a sympathetic manner, the writers will probably turn Mili into a vampish character who might challenge Simi for Abhi's affections. This type of behavior I could see in Neetu but certainly NOT Mili.
Abhi clearly has NO romantic feelings towards Mili. His feelings towards her are strictly platonic and he cares a lot about her. She was the one who was his biggest advocate and supported their (Simi and Abhi) romance. He has no reason to believe she fancies him. He goes to great lengths to please her because he feels guilty for what he has done. Plus the age and similarity in personalities adds to their friendship. The writers can ruin Abhi's character if they have him develop romantic feelings for Mili and they could head in that direction.
As for Simi; this storyline is a desperate attempt to revivie the victim role of Simi. The new audience members are expected to develop sympathy for her character and her dilemma that her husband might be straying. She is seen as the victim in all this chaos and her over-bearing mother is viewed as the concerned parent. The end result of this storyline will be Mili and Abhi apologizing to her profusely for upsetting her.
One thing I do hope you all notice in this storyline, we have an awful lot of scenes with Abhi and Mili and most of them are fun and light hearted but we rarely saw anything similar with Abhi and Simi. The writers most certainly are enjoying enhancing the *romance* between these two characters but definitely felt the need to give us only morsels of Abhi-Simi.
