...hear me out here. I have finally come to the realization that this is a twisted desi version of a reverse Cinderella story. I love all romances and fairy tales and that must be the reason I love this show!

Krishna - is Cinderella brought up in an awful vile home. He needs to be rescued and doesn't even know it.

Pratigya - is Ms Charming who will eventually rescue Krishna and they will live happily ever after. Some day.

SS and Shakti - are a version of the evil step sisters. Here they are his father and brother. They are the people that influenced him the most in his life and have taught him everything bad that he has ever done so far. Guns, larceny, threatening, beating etc..etc..etc..

Amma - evil step mother. Here she just happens to be his real biological mother. She can't stand that he loves another woman more than her and that she can't control him. She will lie, cheat, manipulate and whatever she has to in order to break up our super couple.

Kesar and Dadi - they are innocent animals that helped Cindy in her life. Here they help Ms Charming.

Fairy Godmother - our strong heroine doesn't need a fairy godmother she can do this all by herself. (or am I getting my fables mixed up. hmmm...this is not a full proof analogy)

Anyway what do you think? Do you agree?

Guruma - could be the evil fairy godmother who has her own interests at heart. Interests that haven't been revealed yet.

Ur miss Charming did not seem to have the spirit that u spoke of today .She seemed SCARED . I wud have appreciated it if she had left the house with her dad , head held high like she did on havan day .....she didnt . As it happens She was openly rescued by Krishna we all saw that .so what rescuing of Krishna will she do ? Her Dad left her there , in that hell and went home saying MERI BETI PAVITRA HAI ............Why did an educated man feel the need to refer to her virginity as an equivalent to PURITY pr HOLINESS ? I can understand the uneducated Thakurs talking this crudely but her DAd ?
.
What happened to the Patni nahi aayegi , tum kya muhje pati kya hota hai Sikhaoge , Main Sikhaati hoon etc ? Today her spirit was NEEDED .
Each time Krishna bailed her out , each time her fights were succesful due to his support . So how is SHE rescuing him ? I saw HIM rescuing her when she had FALLEN , her dignity stripped , face and character blackened !
She needs to introspect herself first before embarking on rescuing sprees . Her virginity is NOT the issue at all , we wud love her even if she had pre marital consential sex . No one is a prude here ..........I am talking of the high horses she self righteously rode with Krishna saying TUM MERE LAYAK NAHI HO .
Today was a classic exampl;e of brutal realism ...how degree Education spirit doesnt HELP when brutes gang up and rape ur dignity . This was what I was trying to say all along in my posts . I didnt hate her , I was talking of realism as personfied by brutal SS .

Dear koolsadhu1000 - My post was written lightheartedly and for fun and you have taken it to another level.

Krishna having to "bail" her out countless times...well that is the reality of living in India. I am trying to think of examples of when he has actually bailed her out. Most of the times she has handled things on her own...isn't that what this fight is all about...that she didn't tell him about Angad and the kidnapping. But all that is besides the point.

As to how she broke down today - anyone would what happened today and what his family did to her and her father - was a horrendous act. Anyone would breakdown but the her strength comes from her ability to bounce back and perceiver and go on.

What Shamji said regarding her "PAVITRA" well again isn't that the reality of living in small time India and has nothing to do with his education. I have seen many highly educated, powerful fathers bow down to the families of their son-in-laws all for keeping peace in their daughter's married life. Or even to arrange a daughter's marriage.

When Pratigya rescues Krishna it will be more spiritually than physically. She can never compete with him physically. She will rescue him from his so called family and the cycle of violence that is the life of a "Thakur". And why should she leave the Singh home she wants Krishna and she will get him in her own way.

In the meantime I will enjoy the show as what it is ... pure entertainment and drama and a SOAP and nothing else!

BTW koolsadhu1000

I too agree...it would be great if she had a boyfriend in college/university and had some real "fun". And as a smart educated girl who did really well in Chemistry, say to Krishna and his parivar and the Saxanas..SCREW YOU (pardon my French) all and run off to pursue higher education on her own.

But that would be another show :)
