Friends in Bollywood
Friendship in Bollywood comes with an expiry date. When the actors here meet on the sets of their films, either their ego clashes and they cross sword or they gel like house on fire. The latter that happens very rarely here turns out to be the strongest friendship that one could swear by. Shahrukh has been lucky in terms of friends in the industry from the time he came to Mumbai with a dream to make big in Bollywood. Juhi Chawla, Aziz Mirza and Vivek Vaswani have been the people who were always there for him from the time he had just begun and until now. Later, in his journey toward becoming the Baadshaah of Bollywood, he was accompanied by friends like Kajol and Karan Johar. The reports of Kajol's hubby Ajay Devgn not very pleased of SRK's presence in Kajol's life has never deterred these friends from cherishing their friendship on chat shows and on big screen. Karan is more than just being a friend to SRK is known to one and all. SRK's friendship with Farah Khan may have been reported to go sour but the two have always maintained a dignified silence on the same. Lately, Arjun Rampal has also been enjoying the friendship of Khan. As we all know Salman Khan is a very good friend and an equally bad enemy. There was a time when Sallu and SRK were best of friends but today they are worst enemies. So as to befriend anti-SRK people in the industry, Sallu has now joined hands with another megastar Aamir Khan. The sole purpose of this friendship is evident as the two also were loggerheads during the making of Andaz Apna Apna. Also, he was once upon a time best buddies with Sanjay Dutt who he considered his elder bro but now their equation is not the same, after he refused to work in Sanju's home production and on top of it he came out in public in his sister Priya Dutt's support who is in opposition of Sanju's party. Yaaron ka yaar Salman Khan when sensed that his friend Govinda is not doing well at the box office and is buried in neck deep loans, he starred along with him in the film Partner which was a hit. The big-hearted Khan has also been friends with his ex-girlfriends, Somi Ali and Sangeeta Bijlani. Kareena Kapoor who once would pick fights with almost all her contemporaries is these days busy building friendship. She was known to have a showdown with Bipasha Basu on the sets of Ajanabi but now it seems all is well between them. She started as friends with Priyanka Chopra but the master of catfights Kareena could not sustain it any longer. After Saifu in her life, she has more or less a new set of friends but Amrita Arora who is also her Golmaal co-star continues to be her best friend. Salman Khan who always kept her at bay for her association with Shahid Kapoor is now also in the list of her friends she can fall back on. Saif and Kareena are also good friends with Vivek Oberoi but their meanest side does not deter them from ignoring him in the presence of Salman Khan. When the debacle hit Amitabh Bachchan, only his true friends stood by his side. Big Synergy that brought him back in form with Kaun Banega Crorepati is now once again set to bring him on TV with KBC4. During the same time around his friendship with Anil Ambani and Amar Singh got stronger but now we hear latter has parted ways with them owing to some political issue. Ranbir Kapoor and Niel Nitin Mukesh are though rivals at the box office but are healthy friends in personal lives. Their grandfather and fathers have been friends and this is the third generation that would continue to cherish the familial bond. Ranbir was also friends with Imran Khan but after Avantika Malik ripped his film in public, Ranbir has maintained a distance from the couple.
Raveena Tandon and Karisma Kapoor in their times could not see eye to eye but today when they together experienced motherhood they have buried the hatchet and seem to cherish their friendship for having lived the same era in Bollywood.
