Introduction:
This week has been very important for we Odhanians because we saw the two protaganists - Shaan and Khanak start sharing a bond beyond friendship although inadvertently. We saw how Shaan gets his first taste of responsibility, thanks to Khanak. We saw how both of them make efforts to make life easy for the other, under the "Just Friends" blanket and the most important step that they took this week was to move in one room as Hubby-Wifey! This week saw them taking the first step from "Being Friends" to "Love". Long way to go but the first step itself took us Odhanians to a dream land! 😍😍😍
Its our pleasure to commence this new initiative with such a rocking episode.
Summary:
Monday Episode - 26th July
Shaan wins the bet with Khanak and Khanak agrees to go back to Mumbai home. In the meantime, she gives the Rs10 bill, that Shaan had earned for the first time, to a random boy to prove Shaan that they were destined to meet.
Mangal, Hetal and Gopi land in Khandelwal mansion and turn out to be a prick in Khushboo(BD)'s nose! They are at their no-etiquette best! At one end they give shockers after shockers to the Khadelwaal's with their burps, on the other hand, they get their deserving shocker when they see Khanak in the new attire.
Everyone is very happy to see Shaan and Khanak back and form groups to discuss their arrival back. Khanak and Shaan have an eyelock session.
Tuesday Episode - 27th July
Shaan tries calling Natasha but ends up cutting the phone on her when he's busy staring at Khanak. Hetal and Mangal pester Khanak about the money and declare they won't leave till they get the money! Natasha's dad insists she moves on in life and forget Shaan while she tells him that she needs to speak to him.
Gopi asks Khanak if she likes Shaan and if he takes good care of her while Shaan is ease dropping eager for her answer. Akshay catches him and inquires what he is doing getting Shaan caught who makes and excuse of getting water, ends up getting an apple and leaves.
At dinner, Hetal and Khushboo interrogate Khanak about how she has forgotten Suraj so quickly and what magic she's done on Shaan leaving Khanak in tears.
Wednesday Episode - 28th July
Khanak is in her room remembering Hetal and Khushboo's words crying. Hetal comes and asks her where Shaan is and why he isn't here. Khanak tries to make excuses for why he isn't there but Hetal tells her she knows that ShaNak don't share a husband wide relationship. Shaan comes and interrupts her and lies on the bed and takes Khanak's hand asking her to massage his head! He asks Mangal and Hetal to retire to bed and leave them alone. Shaan explains that he's simply helping her. Khanak is worried her family thinks she's forgotten Suraj. She says she'll never forget Suraj and no one can take his place. Shaan says that's not his intention and Khanak apologizes saying she didn't mean that. Hetal and Mangal talk ill about Khanak and Gopi feels bad that she's forgotten Suraj.
ShaNak go to Shaan's room where he takes off ShaanTash's picture seeing Khank's discomfort. They both retire to bed. Khanak woories what her family is thinking but also realizes that Shaan is only helping her and is looking out for her. Shaan's wishes for some normalcy in his life stating it's too complicated.
Thursday Episode - 29th July
Khanak wakes Shaan up the next morning reminding him that he has to go meet Natasha. In the office Natasha imagines Shaan coming and trying to make up with her while she tells him that they should remain friends for the next five months. In reality, Shaan ends up telling her that she's his best friend and that they should remain as friends for the next five months leaving her broken hearted. Khanak at home hopes that everything gets better between ShaanTash. Shaan comes home and his dad praises him for doing what is right over what is easy. Natasha breaks down and tells her dad that nothing will ever be the same.
Friday Episode - 30th July
Khanak and Gopi are in the kitchen and Khanak reassures her that ShaNak are only friends and that no one can replace Suraj. When she sees that Shaan is back home early from office she goes to give him lunch not realizing Gopi's distress. Khanak asks Shaan if everything went well and he grimly tell her that Natasha agreed for their little arrangement in one shot. Hetal comes in and presents Khanak, a large framed picture of Suraj shocking ShaNak. She puts the picture on top of Shaan's bed and taunts Khanak asking her if she liked the gift and leaves without a reply.
Natasha's musing and thinks to herself that she believes in her and Shaan's love. At dinner Shaan comes and refuses the seat Khanak offers him. Hetal taunts him again saying that Suraj will never enjoy delicious puri's again. Shaan leaves angry and says that this isn't his favourite cusine. Khanak sadly sees Shaan leave and tell herself that she has to talk to Hetal and make sure Shaan's happiness is her first priority.
Khushboo comes and eats mirchi and runs away screaming. Gopi brings dahi for Khushboo but Khushboo insluts her and asks her to get lost and asks Akshay why he has become so fond of villagers all of a sudden. Khanak watches the whole episode.
PostMortem Incidents:
#1. Khanak returns back to Mumbai home 👏👏😳😛
After being asked to leave, Khanak had left home for good. Sunil made Shaan realize that Khanak is his responsibility atleast for 6 months and Shaan goes in search of Khanak. Shaan tries convincing Khanak to return home but Khanak is adamant on not returning back to Mumbai and she had a valid point - Everyone hates her in Shaan's house and she feels alone. There were two essential things that Shaan had to do to convince Khanak to go back with him - a) Earn his own bucks for the first time by being a waiter in a roadside restaurant and b) Be her friend and promise to be there for her always. The conviction shown in these two deeds were enough for Khanak to return to Mumbai.
#2. Shaan promises Khanak that he would stand by her. 😳😳
Shaan removes Khanak's apprehension of returning back to a lone life by promising her to stand by her and never leave her alone. This was not a mere promise but words spoken with conviction and promise that was meant to be kept. This was the result of a feeling that is gradually developing in the duo for each other inadvertently. As part of the promise, Shaan saves Khanak from embarrasing situations that Hetal and Mangal put her into. He even makes Khanak shift to her room for 5 months, making the couch his sleeping area for this tenure. To make her feel at ease in his room, he removes Natasha and his picture from the bedroom. After all love was meant to be felt! We all know that this provision would only get them more close and hopefully Khanak is here in his bedroom to stay!
#3. Shaan and Natasha decide to be "Just Friends" for 5 months 🤢🤢
As part of his responsibility towards Khanak for next 5 months and the interference of Khanak's "peehar". Shaan decides to take the big step of asking Natasha to be "Just Friends" with him. I found this step absoulutely absurd. Isn't it important to be transparent in a true relationship? Hasnt Natasha supported him in every possible way, in all his irresponsible actions? When she can stand by him after his marriage, she can definitely stand by him for these 5 months and understand why Khanak and Shaan need to share a room! The fact that it became important for Shaan to hide the real reason behind his decision, is an evidence in itself that things are not the same between Shaan and Natasha. Natasha is right in realizing that nothing is going to be the 'same' from now onwards. Shaan wasn't happy that Natasha agreed for this arrangement easily - and may I ask that why is Shaan behaving like a girl in the relationship where he gets to be the one to not speak him mind clearcut, be the rootha hua all the time and expects the other partner to Manofy him!
#4. Hetal and Mangal start creating rift between Shaan and Khanak 😡😡
By these two coming into the picture, ShaNak are constantly reminded of the murky past and the circumstances in which they were married. Hetal and Mangal have left no stone unturned in reminding ShaNak of Suraj's death. This is going to hinder the progress that ShaNak were making. But it is important for ShaNak to deal with this because they have to overcome the 'Suraj factor'. If they both don't deal and talk it out face to face, Suraj will always be the looming factor in their relationship. If they talk about it and discuss Suarj which Hetal and Mangal are responsible for, they can carry on their 'relationship' with a clear conscience. Shaan can know that Khanak doesn't blame him and Khanak will realize that it wasn't fully shaan's fault. Unfortunate circumstances created what happened. Even though they can't change the past, their present and future can be beautiful and pure.
Khanak realizes that Shaan has done so much for her happiness, her respect, her consent to go home. She knows that now it's her turn to put an effort not only for his happiness but also to hold her end of the deal. She's also doing this subconsciously for their relationship. She's fighting for what can be and what will be. Shaan's hopefully will not only realize that she's trying to make him happy, but also appreciate that. Now that Shaan's done so much for her, It's our Khanak's turn to make him happy. She cares for him and worries for him and doesn't want him to feel guilty for Suraj's death. Hopefully Shaan will realize that and things will get better. *fingers crossed*

#4. Green with J - Shaan looked mad when he left the dinner table in Friday's episode. Is Shaan simply mad because Suraj is brought up or is he jealous and hurt that Khanak hasn't said anything against this?🤢🤢
#5. Promise to be kept - Shaan was quick to come to Khanak's rescue in her bedroom and played the role of a perfect hubby shocking Hetal and Mangal. What is the importance of this change for future? 😳
#6. Blast from the Past - "Suraj ki jaga koi kabhi nahi le sekta" - Khanak says this out loud and Shaan is quick to counter that he understands that and has no desire in even doing so. The importance of these words. Is he subconsciously stating that he wants Khanak to love him for who he is in the future and that he'll be her future? Let's elaborate shall we? 😡😡
#7. "Just Friends" cliche' - Shaan and Natasha have gone in the "Just Friends" route. How justified was Shaan in taking this step? What does future hold for these two love birds in next 3 months.😕😡
#8. Power woman - Natasha has decided to join the Office. Do you feel she can turn into vamp in future and strike Shaan professionally? 😕
#9. Kabab Mein Haddi - Gopi is not comfortable with the change in Khanak and is upset that Khanak has forgotten Suraj. Your comments on her attitude! 😡
