I'm in touch with Shraddha: Karan
If Karan Singh Grover had been keeping a low profile off late, he had good reason to. The last one year hasn't exactly been very kind to him. Professionally, he was allegedly shown the door by the makers of Dill Mill Gaye.
Personally, he went through a divorce with Shraddha Nigam and was linked to choreographer Nicole Alvares. And Karan admits that he was indeed trying to keep a low profile. "I'm not a fan of getting my personal life being written about but then I guess, the situation was such that it could not be helped. We're actors, so people are interested in knowing about our personal life," he says, adding that he'd taken a break from work as well, so there was nothing much for him to talk about.
But the actor seems to have taken everything in his stride. He has, in his own words, "moved on" and is back on the same show that gave him recognition and made him a household name as Dr Armaan. But what about all the rumours of him being asked to leave Dill Mill Gaye? Karan dismisses that saying, "Channels and production houses often change storylines, so I wasn't part of it. Then they felt the initial story was better, so I'm back. One can't take these things to heart. Everyone is just doing what they think is best for the show."
Karan will also be seen playing a 'bad boy' in a music video by singers Sonu and Neha Kakkad. So is he a bad boy in real life as well? "I guess I'm a mix of good and bad," he says. Films too, adds Karan, are on his mind and he's in the process of reading some scripts. Although he isn't too keen on discussing his personal life, Karan does say that he's feeling a lot calmer and happy and at peace with himself. But is he still in touch with Shraddha? "Yes, on and off," he says.
