While i was browsing for one old hindi song, i came across a very interesting music site.

http://www.itwofs.com/

This site has got good collection of " Inspired " Indian film songs. Mostly hindi and tamil. Along with that some collection of advertisements and hindi pop songs.

What i liked most is instead of simply stating that this song is a copy or inpired one, he had given the midi file of both inspired and original songs for verification.

Guys, i didnt post this here for blaming or tarnishing any of the Music directors. I just want to share this with people who is interested in good music.

I was very sad 😭 when i saw many of my favorite music directors in the list . So everyone enjoy the site and do share your comments.

This website is even worse than Subhash K Jha's articles. It is total garbage. About 5% information is correct and the rest is trash.

I do visit that site regularly...I think some songs resemble with western music enough to be uncomfortable about...
Its no harm to collect the information available...
Apart of some raga based songs, the resemblence is uncanny. One can always trace back any song to a raaga, but the point is, was the song based on raaga actually or first copied to a hindi song, then was blamed on raaga.
some of the new composers do not care to recognise the original at all. Even RD once accepted that he used to copy a lot of songs from ABBA....
Infact tumse milke ( parinda) is a copy of when I need you. If you listen to zamfir's flute version, not the vocal one available on that site , its really apparent.
HR says most of his songs are raaga based...who believes that. pritam, come on how many people actually think that he first made dhoom song and then somebody told him hey it sounds like that song...🤢🤢
These new music directors are disgrace on rich indian classical music traditions we have. and they keep on maligning it by citing it whenever somebody ask about the uncomfortable question about the similarity.
If everyone stops buying copied music...they would atleast try and make better original songs or make way to talented classically trained musicians to take over.
I think this guy is doing a wonderful job, he may not be a musical genius but it shows he is atleast trying to do something nice for indian music. If you have problems regarding any song being original which he has posted as lifted...send him your opinion...
