Rajeev Khandelwal is set to enter the drawing rooms again, but this time, through a music video.

Ex-Sujal of Ekta Kapoor's Kahiin To Hoga (Star Plus) and Varun of Ketan Mehta's Time Bomb (Zee TV) has done a music video Ishq Ishq with Saru Maini. The video has been directed by Rahul Sud, most of whose work has, in the past, topped the charts. While there's no male voice in the song, Saru lends the female voice.

When contacted, Rajeev told hitList, "Yes, I have done the music video and enjoyed every bit of it. Rahul called me and said that he was looking for an intense look and I fit the bill."

Naya look for video

Rajeev will be seen sporting his usual favourite colour-black. "Well, my look is slightly different from the one I have been seen in television. I have a bit of stubble in the video," added the actor, who won the Best Television Personality award at the Indian Telly Awards Nite in November 2005.

Aping Amitabh

But why do a music video, after the hit KTH and the much-hyped Time Bomb? "I don't think there's anything wrong in doing a music video. I want to make my resume colourful. So I would love to do not only films but ads as well. Think of it, even Amitabh Bachchan did a music video- Aby Baby."

The video, shot at Riverdale Studios in Matunga, will be aired very soon. The shoot lasted for two days.

Who is Saru Maini?

She arrived on the scene with a private album. Saru, made her debut with Ankhiyan, with eight of her original compositions. After that came Sahibaan, paving the way for Saru to pursue a full-time career in music.
Known for her Ishq Hua song which was set to tunes by Jatin Sharma, she is a qualified lawyer.
