Sreeram's singing- a little too nuanced ?

The first time around you listen, you think its good but not that good. I always feel that you have to listen to Sreeram's songs 2-3 times before you appreciate just how good they are. As I listen repeatedly, I realize all the nuances in singing and the variations etc and then it just seems too good.

With other singers, it is usually the other way round. I maybe impressed the first time around but on multiple hearings they don't seem to hold ground.

Anyone else feel this way? I think the casual listener would be a little under appreciative because of this.

which just means he is probably getting over confident and is not singing as beautifully as he sang in the first few galas.

I used to feel this way even in the earlier galas. Nothing to do with over confidence. He still sounds pretty good the first time around. I am just saying that casual listeners cannot appreciate that level of nuance in singing.

You could be right, 😊 I haven't heard him in the last two galas😕 but based on the comments from judges I thought he was not singing as well as he used to.

Yes...he grows on you as a singer.

I remember in pianos my favorites were manisha, vishwas, Arpita, Naushad and Shashi as they grab your attention immediately.
Whereas I feel the real gems like sreeram and Meghna are the people whose singing grows on you...they have their real power. Whenever I listen to Meghna's singing I feel we lost a real gem. Sreeram is lucky he's a guy because guys get more advantages that way. if you are a girl singer who can't grab attention immediately you will be eliminated fast. Guys get more chances that way.

sreeram's nuanced singing is the best thing about him. i just love thew way you find new things in his song every time you listen.

Just to be clear, I don't mean timeline of when he started singing in Indian Idol. I loved him in the auditions and then there was a press meet where he sang Dard e Disco and I loved that. I am talking about the impression of a particular song.
