I too kept thinking about what he might have meant when he said that. It sounded straight forward (and it probably was considering the kind of brains the CVs have lol) but it was deep.

yh, its more den v think and d impact of the line is quite strong, its lke it speaks sum unspoken words and unkown glimpse of sum thing which is sumthin which ill b happenin in future, though its really hard 2 pin point it.

i think he does sense it a little bit, i mean even though he doesn't realise dat she's fallin 4 him, m defo sure he realises dat dis girl is sumthin, i think he kinda realises d spark, bt him being deep in his devdas mode he is nt really thinkin anythin beyond his rejected love and the jealousy n pain of seein SR 2geder, though m glad dat he realises dat in ridz life nw her husband holds a lot mre importance and part den he ever had. Nevertheless watchin d precap, the way he sed "muhje ridddhima ke paas jaana hai" it seems lke again and again he beings to live in a hope n dream thinkin ridz is w8in 4 him. i feel dat d breakin point of dis ill only b wen ridz mkes him completely realise dat she is no longer his, n she belongs 2 her husband. v noe its harsh, bt he needs to strt 2 accept it. Or did he just meant it as "Im in pain, Im hurt.. so dont show me any sympathy, any concern because I dont want it"? Im thinking more of the latter. He doesn't want her to come close to him in the sense of her caring for him.

he has built dis wal around him, dat he isn't lettin any1 pass through, its lke he jst wnts 2 live in his pain by himself n feels dat he doesn't need any1's help or support, i feel he is sacred 2 get involved wid any1 in a relationship, i think if dats d case den he probs feel d spark wid shilpa, as he keeps imaginning her as ridz n he doesn't sense d difference b/w shilpa n ridz. Though dis is wuld b causin him mre pain, as he doens't wnt any1 around him, i dnt get how it wuld b cuzin shilpa pain in dat sense, nevertheless obviously if he doesn't wnt her 2 cum close 2 him in d carin sense, as he dnt wnt any1, it cn show dat he senses d changes in shilpa's feelings towards him, so he doesn't wnt 2 b in a realitionship wid her beyond anythin, as he feels dat he wnt b able 2 love any1.

But we (and Im sure he does too) all know that Shilpa has crossed that boundary. She HAS begun to care about him, and that clearly shows on her worried face.

Something which also got me thinking was when Shilpa replied back saying, "Mujhe pata hai". She KNOWS he has nothing to give but pain, that he will only hurt her more if she gets closer to him. Yet she cant help but have these feelings for him. Its like she knows he's going to hurt her, but shes still falling for him!

even i noticed shilpa sayin this however i culdn't pin point wat she actually meant by dat, though readin ure analyses i agree wid u. its lke shilpa noes dat dere is sumthin hidden beneath d wat armaan shows, i think he noes dat dere is sumthin bad in his past n he is obviously sufferin frm it. though wen she says this, it cn also indicate dat since she has been enduring a lot of pain in past, derefore she doesn't except to recieve anythin bt pain in future also. thus it shows dat even she noes dat dere ill b sumthin goi on in future b/w dem.

Like someone said in another topic, pain is what is bringing them together. It is the magnet pulling them towards each other. Pain is going to be that bond that is going to define these two and their relationship.
