Actor Salman Khan got a reprieve on Friday when the Jodhpur Court stayed a lower court order that had sentenced him to one-year imprisonment.
The next hearing in the case will be in April.
Salman Khan was sentenced after he allegedly killed two chinkaras -- a kind of deer -- while shooting for the film Hum Saath Saath Hain in 1998.
He was one of the accused -- along with actors Sonali Bendre, Saif Ali Khan, Tabu, Neelam and Satish Shah -- who were also a part of the hunting team. Barring Salman, the others have been acquitted.
