i love salman! but if he had 2 be punished he should have been punished 4 the drunk driving and killing poor ppl. y r they punishing him 4 this and not that it really doesnt make any sense. i also dont understand y satish shah who was a part of this buckbeak hunting thing aswell was not punished. They should have punished him 4 the serious crime not this small crime that happened in 1998. i really dont understand this.im sure he will not go 2 jail cuz he has already apealed and itz very obvious that him being a big actor and all will get him out of it ( not that it is a gud thing)...this alwayz happenz in india, whenever u have some kind of high status u can get out of thingz....

Simrat 91 does that mean famous people are allowed to commit small crimes ???? Just by the virtue of being famous they must not be punished ..........while a non famous person who commits this crime must be punished !! Or may be they should stop making hunting wildlife and endangered species a crime altogether ???!!

Simrat 91 if there is a law against something , there is a big reason behind it and mature people consent to the law.

Every mature person living in a democracy will tell you law must be same for famous - non famous , rich - poor alike!!

As for Salman's other crime ........i suppose larger the crime ........may be tougher to prove!! That case is still pending in the court !!

So if a person robbed some one and later went and killed some one !! So should the charges of Robbery get dropped because the murder looks like a bigger crime than robbery ?? No it doesn't work this way . This person will be tried for both cases . He may not have enough evidence of the murder case to convict him . But may have enough evidence to convict him for robbery . So will the robbery case be dropped . No he will be charged and punished for the robbery .

Salman is never going to be in jail.

Court stays Salman Khan's jail sentence

March 10, 2006 14:13 IST

Actor Salman Khan got a reprieve on Friday when the Jodhpur Court stayed a lower court order that had sentenced him to one-year imprisonment.

The next hearing in the case will be in April.

Salman Khan was sentenced after he allegedly killed two chinkaras -- a kind of deer -- while shooting for the film Hum Saath Saath Hain in 1998.

He was one of the accused -- along with actors Sonali Bendre, Saif Ali Khan, Tabu, Neelam and Satish Shah -- who were also a part of the hunting team. Barring Salman, the others have been acquitted.
