Kriti Blames Officials For Quitting 'mjht'

Few days back, we'd filed news on rookie actor Kriti Sharma being shown the door from Star One show 'Miley Jab Hum Tum'. Sharma, who plays Ria, was allegedly giving tough time to the unit members by not being punctual, and constant presence of her boyfriend around the sets proved to be a distraction. Despite our best efforts, Sharma remained unavailable then.

The girl has finally broken her to silence to give her side of the story.

"I'm not being sacked, but I'm quitting the show for various reasons. I'd filed a notice on July 12. All allegations are false. The principal reason for quitting is my worsening health. I had to be hospitalized 10 days back. In fact, I had to be put on a drip again yesterday. My heath suffered after constantly working for 17-18 hours a day.

One evening, I was shivering, but despite their assurance to arrange for a doctor, no one attended to me for over an hour. Seeing my plight, it was my hair dresser, who came and rubbed my cold hands. I had to take an auto to the hospital. Sadly, no one from the production bothered to inquire about my health. Worse, they expected me to come to shoot next morning at 8.30 am."

Defending her boyfriend's presence on the sets, she says, "Look in the one and half month, I've worked for them, my boyfriend was present barely 3-4 times. I stay far off in Mira Road, and since I didn't have any one to drop me in the night, I used to ask my boyfriend to pick me up at odd hours. Now did he prove to be a distraction then?"

What about the allegation of unpunctuality?

"Look, I stay in far off Mira Road. Traveling from there to Kanjurmarg take two hours. There are times when you get late by 5-10 minutes. But the prominent cast of this show is, at time, late by hours. The production officials or creative's can't say a word to them. Why are the poor new actors being singled out? Most of the new actors are thorough professionals. Once we shot continuously for 10 hours without food. Then we took refreshment break. But one of the unit members lashed out at us asking why we were wasting time. Is this the way you treat the people? Besides, if I was unprofessional why would I serve a notice", Sharma chided.

While all this is fine, Kriti cites confusion about her characters as her main reason to quit.

She says, "All new additions to the show were told that form hereon they will be the leads, while the old faces will be phased out. But barely few weeks into the show, I realized that the character brief given to me was different from what I was being asked to enact. I was told that I'll be the new lead in the show. Ria was supposed to fall for Mayank, she was said to be the new Nupur, but nothing of this sort happened.

Later I was comforted saying that I'll be cast opposite the character Niorbhya (Mir Ali). Sadly, poor Mir was shown the door without any intimation. The poor chap was left in tears."

Miley Jab Hum Tum' has long been struggling. In spite of this why did you take up such a show?

"In hind sight, I'll agree that it was an error. However, we believed their word that it's us who'll be the face of the show. Now, if you haven't got your TRPs, you can't be putting us in the sidelines. Sadly, most of them have reduced to a side show now. Well, I left three shows (all leads) for this one, as I thought this was an urban based show. I'm now left to rue those missed opportunities. Till date, the production has been calling me to return, but I've simply lost faith in them. There's no looking back now", Sharma concluded.

only thing is they should understand is that for show running they need trps for that actors also should understand they r fail if there r no trps show is getting .......

well cvs tried to match her first as dia cause they told that she will be the ew diva but she never looked like one.She was not a match for dia and not for nupur too.She can never match dia and nupur they are way better than her.All i want to say that khan dia aur nupur aur kahan ye ria

Guys I am not bashing ria but frankly

Rati is really a gem... At lot was told about her, they defamed her in each and every article
but Rati never said a single bad word about PH and CV's
