Yep SRKLuvr, even I understand Tapasya needs, Let me tell you something,
We had once done a play about two guys Nishant and Tarun who were like Iccha n Tapasya, I mean Nishant was Tarun's maid's son and he understood him as much as Iccha did for Tappu. Tarun's father was as considerate and caring for Nishant and treated him like his own son.
Same as here they went to see a girl Sarika for Tarun and she had a younger sister Aliya. Nishant seemed interested in Aliya right from the time they entered and they became great friends only in an hour. Tarun noticed this as he was more interested in watching what nishant was doing than get to know Sarika well, whom he had come to see. When it was time to leave, Tarun promptly said that he doesn't like Sarika but her younger sister Aliya instead and wants to marry her. Much chaos was created as Sarika's parents firmly refused to this because it was an insult for Sarika and the younger sister couldn't be married till the elder one was. Nishant saw all this and in a low voice said that he loves Tarun very much and wants him to have all he needs because he owes him a lot. He offers to marry Sarika so that Aliya can be married to Tarun.
On the marriage day when both the brides were home and Nishant and Tarun were to begin their new lives, Taun's father came to Nishant and asked him to forgive him because he had to sacrifice so much for his son. He told Nishant that he had seen him taking interest in Aliya and was thinking about her to be Nishant's wife once Sarika and Tarun got fixed. But all because of his son's obsession of snatching away everything dear to Nishant, Nishant had to make such a compromise.
Nishant gave a big smile and said that, Tarun's father needn't worry, he knew what he did and has got what he wanted. He showed interest in Aliya simply because he fell in love with Sarika at the first sight. Sarika's parents would've never married her to a maid's son so he used Tarun's obsession as a tool. He showed interest in Aliya right form the first meeting because he knew that Aliya shall be the most prized covetion for Tarun because Nishant likes her. This compelled Tarun to ask for Aliya's hand and rest was cake-walk for Nishant.
So guys, its not about forcing someone to submit to the right thing, its about convincing someone that what is right, is also the best decision for him. If Jogi n Divya had done that instead of scolding the young Tapasya, things would've been much better.
This also proves that its not enough if you know what someone materially likes or dislikes, if you are manipulative enough to gain advantage from somebody's obsession too, life becomes a lot easier for you and everyone else, Right?
Iccha lacked this quality, she wasn't able to handle Tappu well because all she did was act like a robot to fulfil her wishes. If she'd have been a little more sensible, Tapasya'd have been happily married to Siddharth and she'd have peacefully lived with Veer.
