Reshmi is terrified of what Vikrant might do to her and begs Jyoti to save her. Jyoti assures her that she won't let anything happen to her. On Vikrant's end, Jyoti's words haunt him.
At his end, Vikrant is worried about Jyoti's ultimatum. Kabir comes in and asks him what is bothering him, but Vikrant denies anything. Kabir notices the number on Vikrant's phone w/ the name he had given Reshmi, and Vikrant tells him that he noted it since he's getting the same call. Kabir tells Vikrant that he knows Vikrant can't do anything wrong, and tells him that he expects that Vikrant never do anything that disgraces himself or the family.
Back @ home, Deepu is eating, and everyone is wondering why Jyoti is home so late. Poonam sarcastically says that Jyoti promised not to return empty handed. She doesn't - Jyoti returns w/ Reshmi 😆🤣 Jyoti tells Dadi & Padma that Reshmi will stay w/ them for a few days, and Poonam comes unhinged. 😆 She then goes off on how Jyoti can't earn anything for the family, but is just good @ bringing in new liabilities. This time, Deepu is somewhat restrained in trying to silence her, and Dadi too tries to make her stop, but in vain.
Now, Jyoti explodes and starts giving Poonam a bhashan of her own. She tells her that she realizes that they all are putting up courtesy Poonam's dad (if this is such an issue, why doesn't Jyoti directly call Poonam's dad, explain everything to him and ask him where he stands, and if he agrees w/ her, to shut Poonam up) but one more mouth for a few days is not going to hurt. She tells Poonam that everybody comes w/ their good and bad, but in the end are all human. Poonam protests to Deepu that the same baggage that Jyoti herself brought into the family in Udaipur, she's now importing here in Jaipur. She challenges Jyoti to earn even Rs 100 before giving them such bhashans. Dadi shuts Poonam up and asks Deepu to escort her out of the room.
In Jyoti's room, Reshmi tells her that she doesn't want to be the cause of discord in Jyoti's family, but Jyoti now starts giving her another bhashan (looks like Jyoti has been bitten by the bhashan bug today 😆) She tells her that if she leaves, any other place she goes may have even more troubles (incidentally, doesn't Reshmi have her own parents, et al? Or will they discard her due to the izzat factor?) Padma brings in food which Reshmi doesn't want to eat, but Padma tells her that the kid inside her needs it.
Vikrant is in his room very tense about Jyoti's threat, when Bhavri comes in and scares him 😆 Vikrant tells her that she totally scared him, and Bhavri tells him that she knows everything. Vikrant is scared and asked her what she knows, and she tells him that he's waiting for something that he fears. 😆 She teases him that he's going to watch a scary movie, and afraid of what will happen to him after he's done watching it. Vikrant tells her that he's not in a mood for jokes, and she tells him to eat, and besides, who knows whether he'll get this opportunity again or not. Vikrant asks her to explain, and she tells him that when he sits to watch the movie, he won't get a chance to get up 😆🤣 She then turns to him and teases him some more, telling him that his mom was thinking of him, and that's what she came to tell him. (While this scene may have seemed meaningless for Jyoti viewers, since Vikrant was Lakshman & Bhavri was Urmila in the Ramayan, this scene was pretty funny for Ramayan fans who never got to see any Lakshman-Urmila moments 😆)
Bhavri leaves, and Vikrant again starts recalling Jyoti's ultimatum. He then looks @ his phone and says that since this is the only way to track him, he'll turn it off and leave the haveli for some time. (Vikrant, if they have your number, they can find out the address from the phone company) Also, nobody knows him as a Rex in this haveli.
Next day, Jyoti is haggling w/ a vendor over vegetable prices, and after getting what she wants, is told that there are no plastic bags, and paper bags are too expensive. The vendor tells her that it doesn't cost much to make, but a bag that should cost 10p to make is being charged 35p, since very few people make it, so they charge what they like.
Jyoti gets an idea, and asks the vendor whether he'll accept it @ 25p? The vendor tells her the entire market will take it, and she'll get a loot. Jyoti goes home, pulls out a stack of newspapers, and gets to work. Dadi asks her what's it about, and Jyoti tells her that in the bazar, paper bags are expensive, so she decided to make some money by making paper bags herself and selling it. Dadi protests that Jyoti is far too educated for that sort of work, but Jyoti reminds her that her father used to say that no work is too small. She points out that all she needs to do is cut paper and stick it together - what could be easier?
Deepu & Poonam are there, and Deepu demands to know whether it was Poonam's remarks that provoked it? Jyoti reminds Deepu that he too started as a courier boy, and that he too said that no work is too small. Deepu wishes her well, and leaves.
Jyoti starts putting these together, tossing some along the way, and soon, Padma & Dadi join her. Reshmi, who's watching all this from another room, too comes up to help, & @ the end, they've made quite a bundle. Jyoti then takes it to the vendor and sells it to him, telling him there are 1000 of them, and gets Rs 250 from him w/o him even counting. She returns home excited about this, and thanks everybody, including Poonam, for putting her on this path. Poonam forces a smile, after seeing her weird reaction.
Jyoti then goes to Reshmi and thanks her, telling her that she had lost all hope, until Reshmi came along. And after seeing this opportunity, she found a new calling. She promises Reshmi that she too will get justice.
The phone rings, and Jyoti asks the inspector what it is. The inspector tells her that her work is done - the number she gave them, they identified it. The scene ends. (I'm guessing that the inspector was being sarcastic - from the beginning, he didn't have the remotest intention of being helpful, and if he's found out that the phone traces back to someone in the Jodhpur mayor's family, he's even less likely to be helpful).
A really boring episode, after the initial fireworks b/w Poonam & Jyoti over bringing Reshmi over. Okay, Jyoti beat Poonam in the bet, but really, for the type of things Jyoti likes to achieve, is selling paper bags really going to do it? I agreed w/ Poonam - after all, if Jyoti brings in Reshmi, she can bring in any number of girls in similar situations.
Also, if Jyoti can give Poonam such a bhashan today when defending Reshmi, why can't she do the same when defending her own self? Doesn't make sense - but then, little in this serial does, any more!
The only light hearted moment today was the one b/w Vikrant & Bhavri. Like I noted above, totally irrelevant for Jyoti viewers, but for people who saw the Ramayan, it was a disguised Lakshman-Urmila moment - which the Ramayan hardly had.
Episode rating: 👎🏼
👍🏼: The Vikrant-Bhavri moment
👎🏼: Too boring - Jyoti's bhashan to everyone - Poonam, Reshmi, and tomorrow, the inspector
