We're seeing Naku and Dutta's relationship evolve. AND we are seeing Dutta evolve. I am of the opinion that now Naku too has to evolve.
Naku has so many good qualities about her--her ability to love and sacrifice for love, her values, her steadfastness. And these will never change, nor should they. They are central to who she is, and WHY Dutta is drawn to her, and needs her.
But I think Naku will have to learn to handle Dutta as their relationship evolves. She has shown us her sherni side, not giving him the glance he wanted in the car when he was driving her to her new home, returning the mangalsutra with very purposeful words, letting Dutta know exactly how she felt when they were in the car, near certain death.
I want to see this develop more. She needs to be firm with Dutta occasionally. Let's face it, he's not going to totally change (and I don't want him to anyway), and as a result she is going to have to speak her mind with him, get him to the right place. And I think Dutta likes the sherni side of her anyway, not necessarily the meek one.😆
