I am sorry if your focus is only to know how and when the face revelation will happen then I am sure you must be truely be bored.
I see the story beyond her true revelation. I am in no hurry to see her face being revealed. I am seeing Nakku already as a very beautiful person to the core. In fact her black face is very appealing and charming. I think the CVs have developed Nakku's character extremely well. As a viewer I was not too pleased with her white look. I was already missing the Nakku as Dutta knows her. My focus is the chemistry between the two and how well they relate to each other. I want to see her win everyone's heart (not just Dutta) with who she is from the inner core. I still cannot forget the look on the trio's sisters while parting she wished them the best and she meant it. That is Nakku's beauty.
There are a lot of good discussions on this forum regarding the true spirit of the show and I would agree with those viewers that the show is not just about a handsome guy falling in love with a ugly duckling rather two people of completely different worlds coming together.

@ ltl_fan - I agree with you completely.

@ neelamra - OMG you find the show boring. I can not even think about missing a single episode of this show. I love the story right now. The CVS have not disappointed me with the story. But I have read many comments on Youtube and they all just want her face to be revealed. To be honest I think we have no story if her face is revealed right now. Seriously what are they going to show after her face is revealed. I want Dutta to fall for black Nakku. I would really like if he would confess to her but I will also be happy if he just realizes that he loves her before her true beauty is revealed.

This is just my opinion.

I agree with you ltl_fan about the spirit of this show. But neela has a point. The CVs have created a lot of drama around the looks of Nakku. First choosing Mahi to play the role, then colouring her all black, then playing hide and seek with the audience in revealing her looks. I mean it seems as if Dutta-Nakku's love story is a secondary theme to this main theme. How much more do we have to wait? It is getting pathetic. CVs are dangling the carrot of this revealation in front of the viewers and we like morons are waiting from epi to epi to see what happens next. The only consolation is that they are showing the love story developing well.

I'm sorry you have not enjoyed the show. However, this show goes much beyond typical drama. It's a show that is brilliant in developing characters...they're 3D, if you don't mind me calling them, vs. 2D in most shows. Sometimes it can be frustrating, the pace of the show, but it evens out over a longer period of time. Many of us on the forums are attached to the characters, as you see in all our posts. And that is thanks to the exceptional work by Anil D. and others who lead this show. The show is about two people and their experiences in life, and how fate has brought them together...for their own betterment, even though Dutta does not always see that. Naku will remove that color, and Dutta will see her, and I don't think we'll be waiting too much longer. Please give it a chance--you'll be pleasantly surprised at how much you fall in love with the characters, the fanstastic dialogues, the intelligent shooting of scenes, etc. Just don't expect too much too soon. Hope to read more from you in the upcoming weeks on the forum.

I was hoping for a response from you as I didn't sound too convincing about the beauty of this show and how we all have fallen in love with each and every character (minus roops and leela).
I cannot agree more with you regarding the brilliance of Anil Deshmukh's dialogue. I so wanted the development team to have a permanent link to add all the dialogues that have touched and moved us.
Can you please include the link of the discussion topic you had created explaining in detail of how it is beyond a ugly girl falling in love with a handsome man. Your writeup explains my feelings so well. Thanks gp00.

Here is an old post regarding the SPIRIT of the show from the 14th of July:

So if I asked you what is the spirit of the show, knowing all you know from watching it, what would it be?

To date, in general, we've thought of it as a love story between a good-looking guy and an "ugly" girl. Social implication being looks don't matter. That hunks can fall in love with ugly girls too. It's what's on the inside that counts, not the outside. It's a politically correct statement.

BUT I REALIZED THIS IS NOT THE SPIRIT OF THE SHOW, IT NEVER WAS.

It's about two people. Opposites in so many ways. Victims in so many ways of society, of other people's actions, of fate. They both need love, on a human level...they crave it. Yet in some ways, they've given up hope of it. Dutta is submerged in rage, hides behind his anger. Naku hides behind her makeup. You can't see them for who they really are -- beautiful characters that need love, but don't have it. Dutta does not believe in love, Naku feels it for the first time for him. She is able to see something noone else can. And he can see something in Naku noone else can.

I think the show is about two people's lives colliding--of their mistakes, of learning to love, and of redemption from love. The story itself takes place in a refreshingly new context -- Don, maid--with wonderful action scenes, simplistic but surprising developments devoid of unnecessary hyperbole and bull.

But at its core--it is not an equal opportunity or political statement about ugly vs. beautiful, powerful vs. defenseless, though it does address these. It's an exquisite love story and a story of redemption, of changing because of love.

What do you guys think?

Ditto that - actually the story will become quite mundane and boring ONCE her face is out and they are romancing. What is new in a good looking guy and girl madly in love and romancing on Indian tv? The depth of their characters and their amazing chemistry is what carries this show - not whether the heroine is fair or not and whether her beauty is known or not.

If the looks don't matter why have they coloured nakku black? Or again my original question - why they chose a beautiful girl like Mahi to play the role? They could have chosen any ordinary looking girl. The depth of character and chemistry should still be there irrespective of looks..The only moral of this story is that this way CVs have gathered the sympathy of viewers. Imagine a poor beautiful girl who has to colour herself dark to be safe from vultures...sniff sniff sniff....😭😭😭🤢🤢🤢
CVs have played this game to get sympathy of viewers and they are successful. if they had shown an outright beautiful girl or an outright ordinary girl then they would not have got the attention and sympathy they are getting now...
Anyways this is my opinion....and I am not complaining about it. I am just presenting the facts from my perspective.

Someone as gorgeous as Dutta would ideally never even give a second look at a girl like Naku. That is the harsh reality of the world. And a girl as pretty as Naku would in most cases never hide her beauty from a guy like Dutta if she wanted him at any cost. Instead here the story is about going beyond superficial looks and also about selfless love and acceptance for one to their core. It is a two way thing. The setup of this story aims at showing two people who most people would never imagine to get together to unite and unite to the core. Dutta is oblivious to how much of a catch he is and he also doesn't see anything lacking in Naku unlike all the other characters in the show. Naku on the other hand realizes that Dutta see love as being much beyond skin deep - that he has accepted her and respects her as she is right now and makes sure she is treated well - he is blind to what the rest of the world seems to find fault in - her dark skin and her being his employee and hence inferior to him - he sees her as an equal. Coloring her dark makes the story unusual. What is unusual about a good looking guy like Dutta falling head over heels for a gorgeous Naku? In that case Naku's love for Dutta maybe still seen as selfless but it's quite easy to conclude that Dutta fell for her simply for her looks. Even if Dutta did love the pretty Naku as much this Dutta will love this Naku there would be a group of viewers that would automatically assume it was bound to happen for a good looking don like him to fall for a pretty gal like her.
