The Lead in Pratigya

I have a few questions to ask.

We have mostly seen that every new Indian show usually has new actors in the lead. (I am not saying necessarily, but mostly).

A person who has a main role in a serial is not very much likely to get a lead role in any new show. We do not see Prerna, Tulsi and Parvati getting any new major shows with dynamic roles.
And most shows have VERY young girls (be it Sadhna in Biddai when it started, Sarla in Sajjan Ghar, Rani in Raja Ki Ayegi Baraat, Bebo in Laadli). So once they get lead roles in a show and that show ends, they are unlikely to get equally challenging lead roles,
U can see the same thing happening in Pratigya. Arhaan is a new face. Pooja is not new, but she has not played any major lead roles before she got Pratigya.
Pooja is also VERY young (19, I believe).
So what are the reasons for these trends (giving lead roles to young VERY young girls and hiring new faces in lead roles)?

Khushbakht as far as television is concerned we are having lots of new shows every day so if a person is gettting a lead role in some show then obviously its not possible for him to manage another daily soap at some other channel at teh same time. but yeah ur right its kinda trend they mostly ppl like to cast new faces.
well for me its because normally ppl associate that one particular role with the person like smriti has done tulsi's character and she is being recognised with this same role till date.so if the person wants to hire her in some othe rrole there might be a chance ppl wont connect with her in other role.
i can only see this reason for not casting old persons in new shows.
waisay like anjani said girls normally dont get repeated while boys can get lead roles agian and again like we have seen iqbal khan, harshad chorpa and so many others.

That's an interesting point.
My take is that it's not so difficult if the soap is a romance or a group lead show then it's not so difficult for actresses to do leads in many soaps but if the soap is a hard core Saas Bahu - one in which the serial is named after her or the heroine comes an icon like Tulsi, Parvati or Prerna it is more difficult to cast them as leads again.

For instance Sanjida was the lead in Kya hoga Nimmo Ka, and she's leading lady in Jaane Pehchane. Shweta Gulati was in Remix, cast again in a big role in DMG. Even Sakshi Tanwar acted in Balika Vadhu but in a negative role. The bigger the star the more difficult it is to repeat them as leads because they are so strongly assoicated with that identity.
So yeah, maybe this is Pooja Gaur's role of a lifetime, unless she diversifies in some way in the future.

Soapbubble and Fatima made the same point.

Suppose Pratigya ends about 5 years from now, Pooja will be just 24 and therefore still a young girl. And it would be difficult for her to bag as big a role as Pratigya!

You can see young girls playing mothers in so many shows because of this trend.

Moms of Akshara and Naitik in YRKKH are examples.

And the biggest example in Nainaji of Pratigya!😕😲
She looks like Shyamji's daughter.😛
