To me now the decision to keep Naku and her family in the house seemed to be more aimed to please Dutta rather than anything else.

That's it! Something has been bugging me since some time now about that woman, I just could put my finger on it. But you are absolutely right. She loves to wallow in self-pity, always crying, almost fainting, and so on. When I face a serious phase in life, I remind myself of the fact that other people suffer much more. It's a lame phrase, but it's true and it helps.

The worst thing for me, thoug, is that I really liked AS at the beginning. I didn't want her to be evil, I wanted her love for her son to be real. But her actions speak volumes. She says one thing, but always acts another way. She talks about helping the needy but is the worst egoistic person herself. And so on.

Exactly. I knew the sisters wouldn't even look at Babi and Sethji. But AS? Isn't she always acting like Mother India or Mother Teresa? But time and time again she has proved that in reality she doesn't really give a ... . She's fine with giving some alms to the poor- because her son is getting married (i.e. again selfish reason), agreed, she gave Naku's family shelter, a job, sent Sethji to school, but again, we don't even know if that was really her decision or Dutta's. Or if she made it because she knew Dutta would want it and she could use some new servants anyways ...😕

AS tries to be goody goody only when a no. of ppl are watching her...its all hypocrisy ..whenever there are a bunch of ppl around, its show tym for her..she didnt even say anything to babi when babi told her that nakku stayed with dutta to save his life...even when babi told that ..'AS aap ne hi kaha ki kismat humare liye....bla bla' and told that shayad dutta nakku ki kismat mein ek doosre ka saath hai...the look that AS gave was like..shish..she gave babi a stern look while crying..!!..AS is evil ya!! 😡

My suspicions of her character going very (-) grow by the day. It's been the same feeling I've been having for several weeks now. I feel next to her Kala will prove to be a saint with her childish games. Her over the top concern (ok I know she's a mother but still) and it all just seems like there is something she is hiding and hence this excessive show of concern and me-me-me'ness.

Yeah...same here. I quiet liked her at the start. But ever since the wedding she hardly appears to be the strong woman whom Dutta credits to have given him a good upbringing and values. Instead it appears she wants to control him. When she feels a lack of control over him she tries to get rid of the factor that is making him out her control(ie Naku).
Also point to be noted...they have never shown us her innermost thoughts or what she does when she alone in her room.

they never show whats she thinking...and somtimes the looks she gives send off the wrong message....i think this is indicating that she may be the BH....or just a bad influence otherwise where would her daughters learn the tricks of being evil and a hypocrite from? saab musibat ki jaar is aayi sahib.....she doesnt even show real concern when dutta needed it the most!
