Harshad seems really under pressure to perform. This is definitely because even if he was in mamta, LRL or AD, he was never the centre of attraction. He wasnt the main lead. Someone else has always had more limelight than he did, therefore the pressure of performing under a radar (either of the audience, media, tinseltown).
In kis desh, Harshad got his real idea role. The role was a positive one, a strong one, and an independent one. Prem stood on his own, he had his own identity, and therefore people knew kis desh more as a prem-heer love story rather than just the name itself. Harshad had his first real main lead, where he took the burden of carrying a very popular and beautiful story forward. Although there were expectations, it was never really as strong, because he was 'new'...
Now he has seen it all, and done it all - as many would say. He has seen the ups and downs, been the person to carry something forward, so he is expected to do as great. The success of kis desh was high, and people expect TL to be better. The reason of KDM success was HC-AG, and now people expect the reason of the TL success be HC-AK.
But like always I am sure he will come out with flying colours. HC is too strong an actor to be weakened by pressure. Hopefully he will be able to give us scenes that will surpass that of prem's. It was he who made Prem the best character, and it is only he who could make Anurag even more memorable!
