@ all....
Not let me tell u...
its only about Swaroop n Tia..
first of all Tia...
Tia has a very gud voice, but a very poor control, and a poor throw. Cummon now all, though she sings quite besura, but we cant say that she's overrated, but she's not also underrated...
Tia's problem mainly comes from her inner self. I mean she does hav an attitude, but an attitude without confidence, so she gets confused n nervous. She cant do wat she says...

Swaroop..
I really don't care about Indian Idol or being versatile, he has something which no other contestant ever had in Indian Idol, a raw and an extremely powerful voice. And maybe the only one whose going to be successful in music industry. He has an excellent throw, and a great control over Taans and complex alaapi. And his control over beats is stronger than other contestants.
But in terms of singing those mainstream songs...He's no doubt not as gud as others. But its also a fact that its his first step towards it in his life. He has to learn the whole song and he over works his throat....Both of them are not underrated or overrated.
But I find Shivam a very ordinary singer...Sreeram does hav sth extra ordinary.

Tia has a very good voice, but it is definitley not being utilised well in this competition, so for nowshe is overrated, she needs to practice and give up her attitude and her attitude of judging others, and focus on judging herself and taking the judges comments serioulsy and put it in practise. Riyaaz riyaaz riyaaz and she can become a good singer
Swaroop differnt voice, like it, he needs to practise bollywood songs as they are so new to him, but commendable performances for picking up and singing bollywood songs in such a short period.
just my opinion

100% in synch with your thoughts on your TOPIC Post...👏

Rakesh sings songs which are more in his comfort zone...He is a good singer dont get me wrong but I love swaroop's voice..I wrote abt his voice and singing earliar in contest...Wish he had not strained his voice with throat infection...I prefer Swaroop over Shivam any day...

If Naushad had done well being in sur and good with low notes he would be ahead of Shivam too IMHO...But he disappointed some of us alot...

Anyways As long as Sreeram is the winner I am happy...But Swaroop has a lot of potential IMHO..

TIA has very lovely voice...If she gets guru and gets trained-riyaz she will do wonderful...She has beautiful voice, pretty look and stage presence...All she needs is confidence which is a major part being performer...She is waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay better than besuri Bhoomi...

Best wishes to all..

Add me to the list too 😳 Anyway, I only watch the show for Sreeram..none else is a winning material. It will be a crime if he does not win 😆

Besuri Bhoomi..LMAO 🤣

I am glad that Naushad left though 😛

I don't really find either of them underrated. Sure Tia has a better voice than Bhoomi (who I find overrated) but that's simply not enough! I mean she's gotten enough chances to work on it. I just can not see any growth at all in her. She goes off sur in the simplest of songs. It's not just lack of confidence, to me it seems like lack of dedication and practice. I haven't seen personally how much riyaaz she does so maybe I'm wrong but from the quality of her performances it seems like she's taking the competition really lightly (and why not? doesn't matter how many mistakes the judges point out as long as junta is on her side 😉😆)

Swaroop has a unique voice. He's awesome in his genre. Versatility is not something he should run after. Due to his voice quality, he should just explore songs of or close to his genre and master that. There are many such singers who have made it big, even in bollywood. If he didn't attempt songs that didn't suit his voice, he would probably have a better image.

Shezuuu🤗..humari Sonu ki deewani .....how r uuu???....so good to see ur post 😛...
and a true music lover I know u r absolutely right .....I echo the same sentiment ....😃
But I 'd like to add that Bhumi is so besuri that it's not even funny ...throughout the competetion she sang high notes in falsetto and mostly going flat on low notes ...most overrated singer in this competetion...

Personally, I don't find them underrated at all. In fact I tend to feel that Swaroop is overrated and Tia is overhyped.

Yes, Swaroop has a very unique voice quality and texture. He has that earthy tonality in his singing that stands apart from the rest. However, beyond that his scope is very limited. Firstly, he is either overworking himself or his vocal technique is poor - because he tends to strain and exhaust his voice. He needs to make his voice flow smoother without strain. Secondly, he seems to keep himself within a certain range and has not grown much in diversity. Sure he has given some hatke performances. But nothing that stands out and says this is top notch singer material.

Tia on the other hand is much worse. Apart from great voice and personality she has not shown much too her. She is exceptionally timid and unable to grow. When she lets loose and performs, she loses the notes and goes off. If she focuses on singing, she gets too conscious and wavers. There has been no growth, no wowing factor, nothing noteworthy in her so far - that makes one feel she deserves to stay on. Perhaps she is a good singer, but no way is she a performer. She maybe better off being a studio singer where she does not have to perform for crowds. And we cannot forget Indian Idol is about performing for crowds and one who cannot make the cut is out.
