Frns ,
There are heated discussion about the origin of Pratigya.....
It was originally said that Pratigya was adapted from Subarnalata [ A bengali Novel]...Now Pratigya is said to be "Inspired " Tair- e-Lahooti .....would someone clarify ?
I went to the TEL site..and read the synopsis, which I am reproducing below
This is a complex story about conflicts between upper and middle class families, divorce, love, betrayal, kidnapping and rape. A love child is also figured into the equation, when the depressed stepson finds comfort with the lowly maid. The multifaceted lives of two families are intertwined against a backdrop of fear, intrigue and excesses. The serial promises to be a nail biter till the end.
The highlighted line reminded me of Agle janam mohe from Zee and not of Pratigya...
I read the synopsis of Subarnalatha ;
Should be read by all young women. Vivid insights to the issues facing women and the attempts towards liberation through successive generations
Virtually orphaned at nine and married into a suffocatingly conventional family, this second volume of a trilogy is the story of Subarnalata's unceasing and lonely struggle for justice and independence. What happens when a woman dares to aspire to an inner freedom that takes her beyond her traditional role?
This highlighted lines reminded me of Pratigya ...
Is Pratigya a mix of these 2 or is it based solely on one or will we see a deviation from the original pretty soon...
which is the original ?
