Frns ,

There are heated discussion about the origin of Pratigya.....

It was originally said that Pratigya was adapted from Subarnalata [ A bengali Novel]...Now Pratigya is said to be "Inspired " Tair- e-Lahooti .....would someone clarify ?

I went to the TEL site..and read the synopsis, which I am reproducing below

This is a complex story about conflicts between upper and middle class families, divorce, love, betrayal, kidnapping and rape. A love child is also figured into the equation, when the depressed stepson finds comfort with the lowly maid. The multifaceted lives of two families are intertwined against a backdrop of fear, intrigue and excesses. The serial promises to be a nail biter till the end.

The highlighted line reminded me of Agle janam mohe from Zee and not of Pratigya...

I read the synopsis of Subarnalatha ;

Should be read by all young women. Vivid insights to the issues facing women and the attempts towards liberation through successive generations

Virtually orphaned at nine and married into a suffocatingly conventional family, this second volume of a trilogy is the story of Subarnalata's unceasing and lonely struggle for justice and independence. What happens when a woman dares to aspire to an inner freedom that takes her beyond her traditional role?

This highlighted lines reminded me of Pratigya ...

Is Pratigya a mix of these 2 or is it based solely on one or will we see a deviation from the original pretty soon...

which is the original ?

Tanthya, I think it's a mixture. I have seen lots of American serials, and you can sometimes guess whats going to happen next, but this is one indian serial that you just don't know what the heck is going to happen! Is that true for all indian serials?

There are two stories going along simultaneously in Tair-e-Lahooti. One is about a school teacher who is bugged by Pasha and another one about a maid raped by her employer.
Pratigya guys even stole Pasha's music. Instead of reading the synopsis, watch the show to believe it.

Thanxxx for the links, I've bookmarked it ..will watch it AFTER Pratigya ends ... I do not want to be deprived of surprises , neither do I want any spoiler's, Neither do I want to be indulge in comparison..which will be inevitable once I start watching TEL ....

I want to be surprised, shocked, angered ,happy and do not want to be cheated off it !! I want to Rant, Rave and throttle the saxena's.....

I prefer to watch Pratigya without being influenced ....No offense..dear and Thanxx again for the links and for the info ...😊

Unfortunately the comparison will continue since our curiosity will force us to take a peak. The story line was very similar, fast paced and ended within six months though the ending was sad with the male lead dieing.

Sam ,

You have actually given me hope, that this show might, MIGHT be different from Lahoti....Six months and this serial is still going ...

BTW ...Subarnalata is a trilogy !! have u read it....??

I wish I could find someone who has read it and will inform me whether Pratigya has borrowed from that also ..

There are some stark differences as well, and yes Pratigya serial seems more promising to entrain us though the lead characters are fast loosing their respective plots.

I am not offended.
But you do not need to worry because Pratigya started off the same way as Tair-e-Lahooti. But has now taken a different turn. Pakistani shows are scripted beforehand and end in accordance with what has been planned.
Indian shows are not like that.
Tair-e-Lahooti's shooting had finished when it started airing.
Pratigya will end the way viewers want it to.
Tair-e-Lahooti will not deprive you of any surprises.
