'Take a break? No way!'
Avika Gor, whose spell as telly's youngest bahu is coming to an end, is gearing up for her next role

Television's youngest bahu Anandi is growing up. Young Avika Gor, who portrayed the popular character for two years in Balika Vadhu, is naturally going through withdrawal pangs. "Obviously I'm sad that I won't be part of this show anymore, but then this had to
happen," she says. So was she aware of this develance or as a o her? ware he re d be ime m e nitially when we started, we children were supposed to be part of the show only for 80 to 100 episodes, but the audience's response was so good that it went on for 500 episodes. So, I am happy about that."
She admits she's going to miss coming on the sets. "I'll miss everyone. They are all my friends and and whenever I miss them a lot, I'll just come over to meet them," she says determined not to lose touch with her teammates.
Usually child artistes, who are in their early teens, take a break during their growing up years and then hope to return to acting again as young adults. But Avika's not wanting to follow that path. "I will not take a break," she declares, "I want to continue acting and I want to tell my audiences that I will be back soon, may be in another serial," says the teenager, who's currently also seen in a cooking reality show.
Avika may have been busy with her acting assignments, but studies have never suffered. "It's all about managing one's time well," maintains the 13-year old. Talk about future dreams and she's clear about wanting to be a beauty queen. So acting's not on the cards? "Of course! After winning the pageant, my next step will be Bollywood," she says confidently. The girl's learning the ropes really fast!
