Previously I had a post about how a good dancer is not necessarily a good teacher. In the same line thought, from watching DID another idea has been reinforced - a good choreographer is not necessarily a good teacher. [note: i am assuming that the contestants are all working as hard as each other]

Mayuresh/Vrushali have had some good choreography (the Kalki act could have been great, the Paso Doble, the Pantomine), but they have not been executed flawlessly by their contestants (namely Avneet) that says two things
1) They could not teach their choreography to their dancers to the extent that they could execute flawlessly and/or 2) they did not create choreography with the capabilities of their contestants in mind.

I think it is more of the former. Manoj highlights this point. So many agree that he has the talent, but it needs to be refined. He is growing as a dancer, but not as much as I could have imagined he would have grown after so many weeks of so many different styles... the culprit for that would be the teachers.. I think this is what is holding them back. Dharmesh and Jai are good teachers and choreographers. We have been seeing their students grow over the show as dancers.

I think something similar could be said for Remo. We didn't see huge amounts of growth from his contestants, when they had the potential. Nikkitasha and [i forget her name - the girl who auditioned with ik tara] are examples. Good choreo not really best teacher.

Good point! It is amazing to see how some kids have grown so much under their mentors/ skippers...The most remarkable has been the graph for Divyam.....Papiya also seems to be flourshing and doing better and better....similiarly Jeetu.
It is hard to say how much progress others have made who were BW champions coming in.....Unfortunately, from my point of view...I don't see much growth in Rutu as a dancer....When he does what he knows...he is great....but when he has tried other stuff...it has not been well done at all....... 😊.

I think that Jeetu had 2 wonderful performances and then just disappeared. If you ask me to remember any of his other performances, I don't think that I would be able to. Whereas dancers like Papiya, Vaishnavi, and Atul (yea, my TOP 3) are consistent and can do stuff that other dancers can't.

I totally agree with the point of not seeing much growth in RutuRaj. He isn't one of those dancers where you wait for his performances sitting there and thinking "we are gonna see something new today" or "this kid is SO versatile!" you sort of (at least I do) sit there and think "Oh, RutuRaj is coming next. You know that promo with Vatsal and Amrita looked really cool. I can't wait to see that!"
