Sa Re Ga Ma Pa goes one up on Sony

The mega finals are finally over. The Sa Re Ga Ma Pa challenge has crowned Debojit "India's Voice". An incident at Kolkata showcases the Vinit-Debojit fever that had swept the nation. Qazi and Ruprekha (Do these names ring a bell? If not, think of Sony's Fame Gurukul) were personae non grata at the Kolkata airport recently. The reason? Vinit and Debojit, the immensely talented and popular finalists of Zee's Sa Re Ga Ma Pa, were in Kolkata on a musical tour to showcase their talents and endear themselves to the Bengali audience.

Understandably, the two singers were mobbed at the airport. In all this frenzy, the winners of Fame Gurukul. Qazi and Ruprekha were completely ignored by the public at the airport. This incident is further proof that public memory is very short. Or is it a question of the Indian audience recognising "real" talent? Qazi's selection as the winner of Fame Gurukul was a poor choice by the Indian audience. Maybe they are trying to salvage their reputation (as in good judgement) this time around by rallying around the undoubtedly talented Zee duo.

qazi wasnt a bad choice 😕

qazi was not a good singer. he was average and in this industry its not possible to survive an average singer 😕 If it was Shamit, Arpita or Arijit it would have been different. 😕

Rooprekha is a shrewd person, there are slim chances of her surviving the industry with or without talent. If she cud play politics with the mighty javed, she is capable of winning anyones sympathy. Qazi on the other hand is a yow yow, and its tough for yo yo's to survive no matter how holy he is or how good a person he miht be. So here's wishing Qazi all the luck, afterall it was not his fault or choice of becoming the famejodhi, the janta settled for an average singer.

age ,so just wish them well.They were all bright and not shrewd as you suggest and Qazi is still popular and give him time ,he will prove you wrong .How many 19 year olds can boast of creating such a wave .He is a star and so is Ruprekha. 👏 👏
