Starring film star, RATI AGNIHOTRI (making her theatre debut on stage) along with other well known television and theatre personalities: Rajesh Khattar, Vandana Sajnani, Manoj Bohra, Hidayat Sami, Hilla Sethna, and Naved Aslam.

Synopsis Based on the Oscar nominated film, Cactus Flower, this play deals with a bachelor dentist (played by Rajesh Khattar) who has a sure-gimmick to keep himself single – he simply tells his many girlfriends that he is married and has three children. But it backfires when he falls in love with one particular woman (Vandana Sajnani) and asks her to marry him; for she is otherwise highly moral, she demands to see his wife and children whose home she has been wrecking. He therefore has to "produce" a wife and then to assuage the girlfriend's conscience. He turns to his nurse (RATI AGNIHOTRI) for the first role, and it is she who blossoms like a cactus flower the moment she steps out of her starched uniform.

CAST

RATI AGNIHOTRI : How can one forget the film, Ek Duje Ke Liye. An overnight star who charmed the audience with her beauty and grace. Since then Rati has worked in 140 films to date in six languages, including English. She has worked with several top producers, such as Dev Anand, Yash Chopra, B.R. Chopra, and Manmohan Desai to name a few. She has also acted opposite such luminaries as Amitabh Bachchan, Vinod Khanna, Anil Kapoor and Jackie Sharoff. The films include: Coolie, Mashaal, Shaukeen, Kuch Khatti Kuch Meethi, Chupke Se, Kaante and recently Hum Tum, Dev, and Kyun…! Ho Gaya Na.; we saw her still as elegant and stunning as ever. She makes her debut on stage with this play with the lead role in a classic romantic comedy. Wait and watch to see her charm the audiences with a brilliant performance.

RAJESH KHATTAR: A distinguished theatre personality from Delhi. He has won accolades, including the prestigious award Sahitya Kala Parishad from the government of India, for his brilliant performances in classic plays. He shot to fame with serials-Junoon and Mafia. He has also acted in films like Yash Chopras, Aaina and Suryavansham, and recently, he was very well appreciated for being the writer for the very popular serial on Zee Tv, Koi Apna Sa. Rajesh continuously receives rave reviews by the Indian press for his many perofrmances. He plays the lead male role in this play as the suave, casanova dentist.

VANDANA SAJNANI : A recognized television and theatre personality, and a former Miss Mumbai 1995. Vandana has completed 6 years of theatre with the well known theatre group-ANK with Dinesh Thakur in all leading roles. She has acted in more than a dozen English and Hindi popular plays. Her famous serials include: Shaheen on Sony TV, Kartavya on Zee TV and Sukanya on B4U. Her recently released film is Mein Madhuri Dixit Banna Chahti Hoon-A Ram Gopal Varma Production where she played the role of a film director has been well noticed and appreciated by audiences. A treat to watch her in this play where she plays a nave girl who believes all the lies her casanova boyfriend feeds her.

MANOJ BOHRA: As a well-known model, Manoj has done numerous print ads (ie. Levis Jeans, and BPL Mobile, to name a few) and music videos (ie. Ila Arun, and Altaf Raja, to name a few). He shot to fame with the popular serial, Just Mohabbat on Sony TV. He is currently on air on two popular serials, Shararat on Star TV and KUSUM on Sony TV. With over half a dozen plays under his belt, the youngster, Manoj is a real joy to watch..

NAVED ASLAM: He is the leading actor on the very popular serial, HOSPITAL on Sony TV. He is also involved in script-writing for documentaries and various television shows. With years of theatre background, he recently won accolades for his brilliant performance in the feature film-Chhal. With his performance in this play, he will leave the audiences asking for more.

HILLA SETHNA: A famous theatre personality, Hilla has acted in various comedy serials and plays including: Gul-E-Gulzar, Bolti Bandh, Bachelor's Wives, Maru Naam Joker (in Gujarati), Hello, Mem Saheb to name a few. She has also acted in various English and Hindi films, such as Darmiyan (a film by Kalpana Lajmi),, and The Deceivers (a film by James Ivory-Ismail Merchant), to name a few. Hilla is a fine artist with a great sense of comedy timing and is extremely lovable on stage.

HIDAYAT SAMI: With tons of theatrical experience, Hidayat has acted in several top productions, including Magic Pill, Shaadi Ka Prastav (directed by Satyadev), Julius Ceasar (directed by Naseeruddin Shah), Chit Ya Paat (directed by Sunil Shanbag), and Mahatma vs. Gandhi (directed by Feroz Khan), to name a few. His versatility to perform various roles has won him many reviews and is a huge hit on stage.

MADHU SAJNANI:A successful event and stage manager, Madhu has handled many areas of stage production including costumes, set coordination, dcor, hair & make-up, stage cues, and sound/light direction. She has managed very prominent events (ie. launch of Seagrams), music videos, fashion shows, and of course stage plays.
