Sideways FF - CB II - Part 18, pg.48

On the request of my dear forum friends (Bee5, Misti, Radev2010, Gardes and all), this is the start of my sideways FF.

Some Disclaimers:

1. It starts from the time Radhika meets Abhay/Dev in mela. There would be some flashbacks where new characters would be introduced.

2. The names of existing characters are as shown in the serial. I will use Misti's names also interchangeably. For dictionary, refer to "Misti Istyle" commentary. I will be copying liberally from Misti and others (Radev2010: please feel to include posters). Also, I may even copy from Chunnu Munnu whether I like their episodes or not.

3. This FF is meant only for those forum readers who have sense of humor. To others, please feel free to ignore my thread.

4. I will not build any fake suspense in the story. The audience would know many secrets before the characters do.

5. There may not be any romantic dialogues between Dev and Radhika. Well, based on Dev Prasad, I am too angry to give him any romantic time with Radhika.

6. For readers who are getting withdrawal symptoms about not finding romance, please refer to episodes from Sept 2 - Nov 19, Dec 23, Dec 30-Jan 1, Jan 28, Feb 3-4, Feb 17-19 (for drunk songs in Goa), March 11-March 19 (if you can ignore Shantanu), April 26-29 (2nd SR and picnic scenes), May 17-20 (if you ignore killer/psycho Shantanu). There are some episodes from April 28-June 1, 2009 too. Also, refer to fan fictions by Devika and Billo for more romantic scenes. The only caveat is that the romantic scenes are strictly between Dev and Radhika regardless of fake husbands and wives.

7. I have now several scenes in my mind thanks to the inspiration provided by forum friends. I will copy the start and end from my earlier posts. The first scene would be after the mela scene.

8. Lastly, this is a communal FF thread. So feel free to include any dialogues, scenes, characters etc. If I don't like them, I can always make them a dream sequence. Please include songs from youtube, posters etc.

Introduction of New Character: His name is Mr. KaamDev Pujari. He used to be childhood friend of Radhika (I know Radhika didn't have any friends growing up , but if the wealth of PF can be snatched without the title and Radhika's property that she got from Dev can be transferred to Muth and so on, we can make this small change in the story). His father was a singer of classical music and they used to be quite poor. In any case, they were neighbors of Shastri family and since Radhika used to go there in her spare time to escape from Vishaka and Amma, she started listening to the music Pujari Sr. was teaching to his students. One day, Pujari Sr. heard her singing and was mighty impressed. So, he started giving her lessons on Sitar and started teaching her classical music. Radhika's father was conservative, but he didn't mind her singing bhajans and especially in his temple.

In any case, the poor Pujari family got tired of their poverty and decided to move to a bigger city where there art can be apprecaited and bought. Meanwhile, pre-teen Radhika always wanted to buy a sitar, but never had enough money. Now, Kaamdev Pujari sort of liked Radhika and so promised her that he would buy her a sitar when he became rich.

Well, few years later, Mr. KaamDev Pujari did become rich by becoming a singer (classical singers can be rich too in India these days) and he decided to visit Vrindavan to impress Radhika and maybe ask Shastriji for her hand. But, he was too late as by that time Radhika was happily married to Dev and living with him a contented life in Delhi. Mr. KaamDev Pujari was devastated adn decided to become even more rich like Mr. Dev RP and went back to Mumbai to earn more money. For 4 years and 8 months, he worked hard and earned him more money by now singing more chalo commerical songs. He returned to Vrindavan and got happy news from Shastriji (happy news for him and not for Radhika) that Dev is missing in action and Radhika is now living in Agra. So, he took the address and decided to visit Radhika and her family.

Meanwhile, Radhika meets Abhay/Dev in the mela and is rudely rebuffed by him as he is only interested in payal these days and not real human beings. So, he doesn't give any chance to Radhika to even show her bare ankle and walks off in a huff thinking that Radhika wasted his precious time that he could have spent with "Payal" (not the girl, but the jewelry). So, Radhika is heart-broken and brought home by Birju who tells everyone that Kanha did grant Radhika's wishes, but he sent a look-alike Abhay rather than Dev. After that, Vaishali gives Radhika some lecture about letting go of Dev and think of her future life. Since Vaishali is so nice now, she is thinking about getting Radhika remarried and doing her kanyadaan (Vaishali is like a mother to Radhika now). So, anyway next day Radhika decides to visit the CN for her job. There, she encounters sleeping Kanika, somewhat sick Deepu (of his entire family) and Abhay hovering over Deepu. Deepu introduces Radhika and Abhay to each other. Abhay is again thinking that he wants to spend more time with Payal, but also wishing that Radhika would hug him again. But, Radhika is now extremely mad at Abhay as she knows he is Dev and he broke those big promises about not marrying anyone else and crossing 7 seas, oceans and mountains to get her. So, she resigns from her job on the spot and walk off as she is tired of living like a servant in Dev's home for the second time. Now, Abhay starts to get some flashbacks where Radhika used to be like statue with him and used to ignore him. So, he stops thinking about Payal and fake family and starts thinking about Radhika.

So, while Radhika is walking towards her home, she encounters Mr. KaamDev Pujari who tries to use a cupid's arrow. It misses Radhika, but she now remembers Mr. KaamDev Pujari. She is happy to see him after all these years and invite him to her home. KaamDev Pujari treats Radhika's family with respect and everybody likes him including Dadi. So, he is invited again. They then decide to go for the picnic as they haven't had any picnic for 5 years. Meanwhile, Abhay gets the address from the MIL who is also frantic about losing Radhika and wants her back. Also, Abhay out of love for Deepu and for the sake of his found ego decides to visit Radhika to persuade her to come back. When he reaches there, he is told by the neighbors about this rich stranger taking the entire family to the picnic. He gets irritated adn decides to go there and spy on them. There, he sees this stranger playing cricket with Radhika and teaching her how to hold the bat. He gets another flashback and is angry at stranger for stealing his memories. Then, the whole triangle starts.

Dev gets his memory back in an instant, whacks up chipko and the MIL with all the instruments shown in this thread, beats up the lecherous brother, finds out that Deepu is adopted just by him, grabs Deepu and comes to PF house. There, nobody is happy to see him (since he treated their favorite CB so shabbily) erxcept for Dadi. For Dadi's sake, Radhika gives him one chance. He falls at her feet and repeatedly asks for forgiveness. Radhika asks him for Agnipariksha. He produces the adoption papers. Radhika is still not fully convinced about him not sleeping with chipko for 5 years and not performing any havan. So, Deepu tells her this his memory is quite good and he remembers Dev sleeping in Deepu's room since he was two years old, but can't guarantee the first two years (took some liberty in changing the story of Dev sleeping in Chipko's room). And then Dev produces that payal and takes Kanha's kasam and Radhika's kasam that he was faithful to Radhika only. So, Radhika takes him back with one condition that from now on if there is going to be another fake person in their relationship, it would be a fake husband for her and no more fake wifes and kids for him.

Dev agrees wholeheartedly as he is also sick of these fake wives and their Ammas (actually more sick of Ammas) as well as sleeping on the couch. So, anyway the PF is now happy family and get back to Delhi to reclaim their title. There they encounter chachoo/Arjun, but Dev gets into his Abhay mode and beats up both of them and they run back to their Agra house. Next one is Mahant and even when he opens his mouth slightly for Dev's agnipariksha, Radhika whacks him on his face for doing all those widow rituals with her and still taking away their RP title and all the wealth. Now, the Mahant is scared of this new Radhika and new Dev (who acts like Abhay sometimes) and so meekly hands them back everything. After that, Dev works with other mahants and replaces the bigoted mahant with a kinder gentler soul. Then Dev changes the RP rule book where the title will remain with his family for ever and if their kid turns out to be a girl, she would get Ms. RP title and her husband would be Mr. RP, but the daughter would have primary powers (that is she can kick out the husband anytime without any repurcussions such as doing Ksma vrat). Dadi is now fully cured. Also, Dev has sent Amma to Agra asylum (after she completed few years of jail term and got burnt by another inmate), forgives Devki and shastriji after Radhika's pleas on a condition that they would only visit PB once a year for only a day. Vishaka comes back with several illegitimate kids and is given a job by Radhika to clean up Muths and Ashrams (she stays there while doing this work). Vivek is cured and gets married to a nice girl after kicking out Mrinalini, Birju marries somebody too and they all live happily afterwards with Deepu and two of their own kids. Before having these two kids, they take an extended honeymoon (Andamaan Nicobar islands) where they do not encounter any psycho Shantanu and or psycho Vishaka. Also, they don't provide any phone numbers so Birju and Dadi are unable to call them. They have a nice long honeymoon with no interruptions and they come back happy.

Now, that I have taken care of the ending I will fill in the blanks until I get tired. For now, some of the answers to various questions.

1. Mr. KaamDev Pujari doesn't have a choti. He is like Dev was when he came back from America. He is not even yet wearing dhotis as he hasn't done any puja until now. He plans to do his first puja with Radhika wearing angvastra and dhoti (we all know he won't be successful as either Kanha would do something or Dev would barge in).

2. Chaalo commerical songs - Khambe jaisi khadi he.., Kahaan chali kammo etc. He gets 2 lakhs for each such song, but only 25,000 rupees for the classical ones. So, in last 4 years and 8 months, he has mainly sung chaalo commerical songs and rarely classical ones (he still sings them for practice as he has to use them to impress Radhika).

Misti: Thanks for letting me that Vansh is now available for this show. I couldn't have taken Veer as he is too sacrificing like Radhika. Can't pair him with Radhika. So, thank God Vansh is dying and is available. He fits Mr. KaamDev Pujari. Also, there is a reason why Mr. KaamDev Pujari is so good looking. Tune in to scene 2 (written later in the night).

Friends: I will be back with scenes 1 and scenes 2 tonight. The scenes would have dialogues between the characters (again could be stolen from various sources - threads, movies, shows/serials etc.) Brickbats are welcome. Again, feel free to include your own stories too.

I totally with you for changing that RP book... like the dgtr becoming Ms. RP and she can kick her husband out.... wow, wow dear... super thinking....
