Ur right, she did say Taani Basu. or rather the matron/nurse in the first scene said famous singer Taani Basu. That means she remarried some one else later but in her heart she still considers Anu as her husband. 😳

And she was Taani Banerjee before otherwise their parents would not have planned their marriage because traditionally Brahmins marry Brahmins and Ganguly and Bannerjee are both Brahmin surnames whereas Basu is Kayastha/Kshatriya.
