Both Jyoti & Pankaj claimed, on separate occasions, to be both the parents - making it 4. Also, Jyoti told Kabir that she recognizes him as the kid's father, while Neelam, in order to avoid being kicked out by Pankaj, volunteered to be the mom. Of course, that will take some adjusting on her part.

The show really goes on highs & lows - if prozac was available for TV serials, this one would definitely need it. There were some real good episodes - like Jyoti becoming an item w/ Kabir, and then today's episde, and then there was the one of Pankaj walking away w/ the baby.

Uday & Sudha have left for a long vacation, and are yet to return. But one thing worth noting - Sudha desperately wanted that baby to have the Vashist name, and right now, Pankaj has given her that. So if Sudha finds out all this, she'd probably be happy w/ Pankaj, and unhappy w/ Jyoti for not returning. Also, once she finds this out, she'll agree to have kids w/ Uday.
I disagree w/ you about Jyoti & men - she's been perfectly willing to live w/o one - it's members of her family that want her married and out. But that track of Sushma going back to Brij was like Anu says the worst. As for Poonam, she was fine but from day 1, Dadi made it clear to her that she has to wear a pallu, and so she looks ridiculous in such a setup.

You make a very good point. Brij doesn't have his family, but the Sharmas thought nothing about sabotaging Sushma's plans and sending her back to him. But w/ Kabir, suddenly, they are very conscious about his family. (If that's such a great thing, see what good it did to Jyoti from Pankaj - thanks to Pankaj's CM, Jyoti is where she is today. Wouldn't a family-less Pankaj have been a lot easier for Jyoti?) But one thing that keeps annoying me is the short term memory of the CVs - just several weeks ago, they showed Kabir in that temple w/ Jyoti tell her that he's a scion from the Mewar royal family, and that his mom was dead, and that he's not on good terms w/ his dad. Yet the promo shows Jyoti demanding to know more about his family. I can understand KK, Dadi & Padma ask him about it, but not Jyoti. And yes, why does he get tense? It's not like he has to give Jyoti a sasural - just taking her into his own home is adequate.
Also, one major worry he had - that his family won't accept Jyoti's baby - is for the time being at least, now gone. So their only objection would be his marrying a divorcee who's not even a virgin. But if he's not living w/ them, and is not on close terms w/ them, will the Sharmas insist that he fix that b4 they allow him to marry Jyoti?
