Pitch the Idea to Ekta

Hey all!

I was just thinking today. Why do Indian soaps come on all year all week long?

American Soap Oprea's go on for one season per year, like from september to december. I think this is better then having a soap all year long because the acters get less tired and dont get bored. Also becuase so the audience can keep there grip on the show and wait till next year to watch more. Having a seasned show is also better becuase then you get a chance to watch a versitile amount of programming instead of watching the same routine show each and every day of the year.

Mostley all American soaps come on once or twice a week. I dont understand why indian soaps make every show come on every single day of the week. I guess Ekta doesnt think that any one gets tired of working on the same sets each and everyday. Sorry to say Ekta, Not everybody is a working machine like you.😆

good idea.... operah is a deffrent theme..for indian soaps r more of a family drama.....if they ll keep it for a season per year people will forget it ....i m sure abt it.....!!also these r story orientad so .... they have to continue it...... otherwise it ll be like part 2 ,part 3 every year more like a movie....
n especially for ekta there ll be problen if she shows her soaps after gap of seasons how she ll complete the 1000 episodes....2000episodes target!!!!!! 😉

Yeah I agree it is a good idea, but the TV industry has to come to that agreement. The competition that is there between different channels and the willingness of everybody, cast, crew, technicians, etc. to do so is also very important.

thts funny cuz i was gnna post the SAME EXACT thing!!!1 i like tha whole season thing better!! and omg SEASON FINALES and PREMIERES are so much more exciting than 20 minute episodes all week long~~

it cannot happen anywhere in india.........people are so very addicted to these soaps that they live, drink,eat,sleep and what else....... in the serial world.

indians have a different culture altogether.
