You dream about them, you think about them, your write stories on them, make poems on them, discuss them all day all night and suddenly one day you see them live in front of your eyes, you intend to shout scream and jump in joy but end up jus shaking hands with them and looking at their warm welcoming smiles. It's like a dream come true. You rejuvenate yourself to ask them many things and end up just looking at them.
This is what happened to me when I met the CID team. Thanks to Shaggy her friend Ujjwala (now my friend too), Shaggy's mom, to our signature campaign I don't know to whom else should I thank to but god I thank you too for giving be that lovely day in my life. I still remember the day when I and Shaggy were discussing siggy campaign and its success on yahoo messenger. She said she could somehow manage a meet with the CID team and asked if I could accompany her. I was jumping with joy yaar I said neeki aur pooch pooch
Shaggy arrived in Mumbai on 15th June I started getting her messages. I probably couldn't take the holiday from my office and just thought I would miss this golden opportunity. We had a conference call late night where shaggy introduced me with Ujjwala and somehow I was convinced to take a half day from the office. Luckily my boss allowed me for the half day. And I was all set to meet the team. It was raining really heavily, Inorbit mall my college hub, my favorite pass time spot seemed to be new place for me, Shaggy got late and this time seemed like longest hour in my life, I recollected almost every episode of CID resided in my memory. Finally shaggy arrived and we were all set to meet the team.
I met aunty (Shaggy's mom) Shaggy and Ujjwala in the car, though we didn't met formally as if we were long lost friends and our quest for the address began with certain twists and turns and finally we reached the destination. It was still raining and we saw them live like we see them in the show, all of them with their raincoats I saw Shivaji sir and Adi sir initially and my heart pouncing of my body.
We were then introduced to the team member Satishji a crew member, he introduced us to the team, Satam sir Adi sir, Daya sir, Dinesh sir and Hrishikesh sir. We were surprised to know that the signature campaign has already reached the CID creative. Satam sir acclaimed shaggy for the campaign and said that we possibly could see the changes soon. I felt like jumping there but I controlled myself. While entering we recognized various locations used in various episodes. We were taken to the bureau, our very own bureau we see every weekend on our TV sets seemed so different to me. It was an old yet new spot.
We sat on the table where we have seen Vivek and Tasha working, we had a chilled out time like long lost friends meeting after long time. We recognized the Sofa where we have always seen Freddy sir snoring and the desk where Freddy sir promoted Guturgu. Then we saw that spot we see daily, ACP Pradyuman's Cabin we asked permission for some snaps, we got it definitely (must say, the cast and crew was very sweet and warm) We clicked some cute pics sitting on ACP's chair, it was really stupid of me to forget the cam but Shaggy is really sweet to send me the pics. Shaggy did one sweetest task she got gifts for the CID team and for us as well, she also let us give them the gifts. Thanx sweetie love you for this.
Satishji came back and we chatted for a while, he told us how the officers were shooting since morning, he then took us to their makeup room. And now we were sitting in the same room with our dream team which we normally watch on TV. As we entered we distributed gifts amongst them. Satam sir welcomed us not as a celebrity but our beloved uncle. He was surprised to hear that we remember him since Ek Shonya Shonya. We asked Adi sir about not to shoot breath taking scenes like Abhijeet in Coma, he said there are officer centered episode within certain slot while we said sir such episodes may give your fans like us an heart attack. Daya sir on the contrary was very quiet amongst the trio. Dinesh sir is sweet and calm. We reminded them of their older episodes and they were like you girls have done PHD in CID kya? (hehehehe) We reminded Freddy sir of Michael he said he initially played Brain. Hrishekesh sir (Sachin) is also sweet and soft spoken, a great human being actually. Tasha is really fair then how she actually looks in CID. She is also really cute, we told her after Asha its only you who could step into our hearts. ACP sir mistaken me Shaggy and Ujjwala as old friends; maybe we already have some bond amongst us. We asked them for snaps and they sportingly said yes. We all clicked many snaps while no one was irritated. I was nearly half the height of Daya sir so he sportingly said yes and sat beside me to cover up the height. (heheheheh) We then took their autographs, while Ujjwala was taking Daya sir's autograph the pen suddenly stop working I gave him my mini pen and he said aarey yeh toh mere size ka hain and we all broke into laughter. Shaggy told me to take down the numbers of the team and my hands were shivering in don't know with excitement or tension. We were then told to have lunch which Satishji had already arranged.
We were taken to the Forensic lab were had a glance at the cabinet where mostly Salunkhe sir does operations, reminded me of that episode when Salunkhe sir holded the heart in his hand. We checked out whats inside the cabinet but it was empty Ohhhh we asked Satishji about the materials they use while operations and he said it's in the go down and we couldn't see it. We had lunch Satishji joined us in chat again. He shared a really meaningful thing with us. He said the cops are really tough and hats off to them. They do whatever is told to them and never say no to anything. I seriously felt like saluting them for doing so much of hard work to entertain us. I also noticed some paintings sent by small fans (children) pasted on the walls that included the team, made me feel lovely.
We were taken back to the bureau see the shoot, we were residing on the chair. We asked for the permission to have a walk meanwhile the shooting starts. We spotted certain locations like the staircase of the Forensic in Sr. Insp. Abhijeet when Daya follows Abhijeet after his resignation many more aswell. We were back into the bureau in some time, Satam sir and his team entered; it was really sweet of him to ask us for tea, coffee in between the shooting. Vaishnai(Tasha) and Sachin (Hrishkesh) thanked shaggy for the gift and said they are already using it. Daya sir absolutely not like what he portrays, throughout the shoot he was either laughing, having fun or just talking over the phone however when the shoot began his expressions were back to normal, like Ujjwala said switch on switch off actor great skills. The shooting reminded me of short film shoot in my college. They actually enjoy themselves while shooting like we did in uor college days. I have also heard off many serials sets full of stress and bad words however this was totally different. We noticed some natural moments of the team their co –ordination and bonding. It was absolutely lovely. I can say no show running on television has such a sporting and lovely atmosphere. We could notice natural laughter of Abh sir, sweet smiles of Daya sir Freedy sir beautiful smiles, I loved their flaws too.
We also understood how busy they are shooting for us. They don't have spare time for their personal lives and yet when Adi sir or Daya sir goes missing we complain. Satishji told us they were busy shooting in the morning, then in the rains and now soon after lunch in the bureau. Yet they warmly welcomed us made us feel like home, On the contrary ACP sir said Shaggy stays at kolkatta but you two girls should have come before and we were overjoyed to hear dis. Satam sir and Hrishikesh asked us if we are actually getting bored, it's good to see an hourly episode instead of this isn't it? Sachin asked and we were like defiantly not we are actually enjoying this.
The team left after the shot after smiling at us. Satam sir gave us a sweet smile and said do come again, he also welcomed our sms, it was really sweet of him. We waved off to Satam, sir and left the premises but surprises weren't yet over Agni gave us the pic of Abhi sir and Daya sir under water for 6 hour, we were jumping with joy.
Yet we missed many things, we missed Vivek and Dr. Salunkhe (Narendra sir) and wished if we could catch up with them as well, well we also missed quails but no issues I got much more than I expected.
I wished we could spend some more time with Shaggy and Ujjwala but Shaggy's dad was waiting for her so she had to leave. Yet her mom promised us to catch up with us when she comes back to Mumbai. We all left for our homes and I realisd that I had actually bunked my office and don't know what to say the reason was. However everything was managed in the office as well thanx to my sweet staff and boss. Yet I am still under the hangover of CID and am not able to sleep since then. My boss asks me daily what is the issue with me and why am I lost these days. Even If I sleep I dream about them. Hopefully I get a chance to meet them again to come out of this hangover (hehehehe),
