We always place our mothers on a pedestal and treat her as the soul of our family. But the father is someone who is ignored more often than not. The mother being a replacement of God is an oft repeated phrase. But there are no such eulogies sung for our fathers. It may be because fathers are not overtly demonstrative with their affections; the mother is the one who generally is. However, that certainly does not mean that a father loves his children any less.
TellyCafe brings you the opinions of actors who know that Papa cares!

I had always wanted to be an actor since I was a kid. My father wasn't really convinced as he used to say that the acting profession wasn't really suitable for us. However, I used to imitate the actors shown in various ads particularly that of Pepsi, where Rani Mukherjee, Kajol and Shahrukh were endorsing the brand and Shahid was a junior actor. I had written about my dreams of being an actor in a blue corded diary and addressed it to my Papa. I pleaded with him to convey my message to Grandpa who was not in favor of acting. However, I kept it hidden and did not reveal it to my father. My papa, somehow, managed to go through the contents, after which he never stopped me from chasing my dreams. Al though he has not admitted that he has seen my diary, I know it is so, as I know my papa well!
