All kashians and shilpa fans...first of all accept my heartiest congratulations....our love, patience and perseverance paid off!! We got our fav girl back and also our fav couple!!
All of us are now eagerly waiting for the magic to begin...we are so happy to catch a little glimpse of Shilpa in the show.
My post is about our expectations, about what we want to see and about how we want to see her.
In the past she played a role which is alive today also. Obviously there are going to be comparisons...her dress code, her acting, mannerisms etc. There must be a lot of pressure on Shilpa herself...will she be able to live upto the expectations of millions of her fans?
The creatives had to bring her in the show as an entirely different person...so different than Riddhima that the audience do not find a glimpse of her previous character even if they tried. Hence, the short skirts, the attitude!!!
The point is...how do WE want to see her? Are we ready to accept her in this new avtaar? The answer seems to be in affirmative...but is that really true? Considering the reaction to the promo...I really want to know that!!! What exactly does the audience expect? I think after seeing her as Riddhima people have put her on a different pedestal ... and now in their hearts they cannot accept her bold and brazen attitude!!
But, my question is ,
Is it right to put so much burden of expectation on a person. I mean..the storyline has not even unfolded and everyone is watching her each and every move!!!
Is the audience actually ready to finally let go of Shilpa's Riddhima garb?
Let us not give her a a Riddhima complex guys and give her a chance to play an entirely different character without prejudice!!!
Please give your opinion as to how you would like to see your Shilpa!!
