To be honest I always felt there was no one like Ekta. She has been a household name in the telly world for about 10 years now. She had an awesome trademark of all K shows. People might not like them now but she had people tune in regularly for shows like KSBKBT, KGGK, KZK and etc. Those shows ran longer than any show present today. And she created the best couples in the tv world. Of course her shows are not doing as well these days mainly because of more competition and people like more variety now.
Now to CVS. Their show has been going on for a while now too. 🥱 And they were running out of stories. The actors had problems so dmg decided to start fresh. Then they brought back show's protagonist Rid and Armaan. Even as a Siddhima fan I wondered this is such a big risk they are taking. What if the Siddhima fans don't turn out to be as faithful as the AR fans. But they are sooo freaking smart. Look at what they have now!
They have a whole new fan group of SR fans. Since these fans are new they are not bored yet. Siddhima yet has fall in love. So for Siddhima fans the story is totally fresh.
And their best move till date was bringing Shilpa back. Kash created AR. Sure the story of AR was fresh and all but so were other stories. It was Kash's chemistry that made the couple so so lovable. By the time Kash ended people were too devoted to Armaan or the show to leave. Some even left.
And now all will come back. KASH will work it's magic. Not will they get back some of the old fans back but they will get even get new fans who didn't watch them as AR. I know it might sound impossible for some but people who loved Kash once will love them again. It's in human nature to move on. It might feel bitter at first then we get over it. If you loved them once you will love them once again when they embark on a new journey. It is impossible to say we love AR not Kash. Because KASH made AR. You would love AR if you didn't love KASH.
It's basically a start over for DMG. At this rate the show can go on for another whole year without boring the fans.
